News Disney and Fox come to terms -- announcement soon; huge IP acquisition

Well those will happen in parallel. DTC expansion will be happening organically over the next 5 years or so (including ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu if they get all of it). Cruise line fleet is expanding and will be almost doubling the fleet in the next 4 years. Parks already have a lot of expansion...

The Integration of Fox into the Disney Corporate Family: Parks, Movies, IPs, Studios

All of TX is west of the Mississippi. They have a LA cushion too lol.

News Disney and Fox come to terms -- announcement soon; huge IP acquisition

I searched on twitter and it comes from a fan account that already mistakenly says Comcast owned 40% of Hulu. This post to be precise (in Spanish). While I believe a deal is imminent it's better to not believe anything until it's official IMO.

News Disney and Fox come to terms -- announcement soon; huge IP acquisition

Seems like an announcement is imminent then. Maybe by close of business today or some time next week. @happycamperuni do you know what was said on the marketwatch tweet?

News Disney and Fox come to terms -- announcement soon; huge IP acquisition

The one thing from the recent call though is that Christine McCarthy said this: It seems she's talking about Fox 2000 having redundancy with the rest of Fox. Not sure if anything else will come of that. As you said, they would have shut them down by now. I don't think they have any plans for...

The Integration of Fox into the Disney Corporate Family: Parks, Movies, IPs, Studios

I don't necessarily disagree regarding China and I think that will come first. I am just saying when talking about the US, Disneyland TX is preferable over a 5th gate in Orlando. TX has the 2nd highest GDP in the nation (would be the 11th country in the world). Land in TX is dirt cheap (they...

The Integration of Fox into the Disney Corporate Family: Parks, Movies, IPs, Studios

I agree with this. I prefer a Disneyland Texas before a 5th park at WDW.

News Disney and Fox come to terms -- announcement soon; huge IP acquisition

Yes this makes sense. Do you have a link to these analysts pricing Hulu by any chance? I don't think Disney would divest Fox Animation or Blue Sky, especially since they had Ice Age in one of their early slides. Maybe layoffs and streamline the teams, but not getting rid of them. By the way...

News Disney and Fox come to terms -- announcement soon; huge IP acquisition

That pretty much confirms how bad it is that Hulu has joint ownership. They can't do a lot of things with it. I also disagree with what you said about Comcast. Sherman's report is that the companies are talking and Comcast is considering selling. Iger and Roberts have both confirmed that...

Pandora World of Avatar Phase Two

I think he means Disneyland California, Paris, Tokyo, Shanghai. The answer is most likely yes. I wouldn't be surprised to see something announced at D23, to be honest.

That's also pre Comcast ownership. Regarding Hulk distro rights, my opinion post Avengers Endgame (spoilers regarding the movie)

News Disney and Fox come to terms -- announcement soon; huge IP acquisition

That's an insane valuation. I could go into details as to why, but i think MrPenguin already did. No Marvel licensee holds anything that's worth billions. The only one that did was Fox because they owned movie rights, tv veto rights, and some merchandise rights to Fantastic Four, Deadpool, and...

News Disney and Fox come to terms -- announcement soon; huge IP acquisition

To be fair you also said the SM movie rights are worth like 5B which is insane. Eternals and Shang Chi as far as Marvel characters they can use at WDW. Marvel is a very valuable IP, but Universal can't use what makes it really valuable, the MCU. They use comic characters. Btw I never said...

News Disney and Fox come to terms -- announcement soon; huge IP acquisition

I don't see Comcast selling their equity for the same valuation ATT did. They will want a premium on top of that. I feel very confident saying that and would be surprised if a deal closes for less than a decent premium of the current valuation for their shares. A little change and that was...

News Disney and Fox come to terms -- announcement soon; huge IP acquisition

Starting at 9m57s. I'm not a body language expert, but to me Roberts is giddy that Disney really wants to own all of Hulu. He's willing to sell, but it'll require a nice premium. Disney can ask for all those Marvel rights and they can be bundled if they pay the high premium that Comcast will...

https://seekingalpha.com/news/3454297-comcast-discussing-sale-hulu-stake-disney-cnbc Reminder that if this happens it would be Disney's best chance to get all those Marvel rights that Comcast owns for the foreseeable future.
