News Disneyland Paris Pride Lands Lion King Ride

What a letdown, It doesn't even look as big as the splash mountain drop, and that's before you find out all the amazing stuff every other park is getting in comparison.

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

Has the same feeling a lot of other rides have after a re-theme, you can tell the ride came first and the story was laid on top, the final drop being a metaphor for making a splash at the party makes no sense. The new animatronics are neat, but that's unfortunately undermined by the use of...

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

New name is uninspired and generic, which to be blunt, will probably suit the park given how they are basically throwing a bunch of cloned attractions at it for the next few years. The main park is already an E-ticket or two short given it's size, and lacking water rides, so Frozen Ever After...

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

Didn't the imagineers behind Beastly Kingdom get so annoyed they went and built Island of Adventure's Lost Continent region instead? maybe this Avengers E-ticket will somehow end up as an opening day DC comics attraction at Universal London...

Serious: any hope for a visit to Orlando as a trans woman?

You'll have no problem at all, especially at a Disney resort. I still have my pride lanyard I got there last time I went! Go peeve Ron off by having an amazing holiday and being yourself.

    Universal UK

About time Merlin had some competition, they have a near monopoly since they purchased Thorpe Park and the UK amusement park sector is all the worse for it, poorly maintained and greedy business practices (double the price, then put 50% off vouchers on everything etc). Really hope Universal UK...

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

They have bag checks between the station and park, and also between the hotels and the shopping area. The protesters just opened up the railing and walked in, with the security chap stationed to ensure guests don't do that, not doing anything. So they ended up skipping the bag check (but a lot...

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

That stretching room picture is pretty awesome, I was at the park yesterday and it doesn't seem to have impacted queue times at all. Could mean fewer people in the park to balance it out, but from what I can tell it's mostly service and entertainment workers as opposed to ride operators. Was odd...

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

I saw some drones buzzing over the area yesterday, now I know why!

What should be the 3rd land at Walt Disney Studios Park?

With the dollar being so strong against the euro, a lot of folk cannot afford a trip to AK anymore. I think Pandora would be a good fit for DLRP, large outdoor spaces to soak up visitors, and 2+ indoor rides suitable for European winters. The other option I can see working is a large indoor...

What should be the 3rd land at Walt Disney Studios Park?

Pandora, with a plussed version of river journey with drops to make up for no Splash. Plus the movies will be coming out for almost the next decade so plenty of hype to ride. Star Wars is a waste of time, they have run the franchise into the ground, and they would never invest the same amount...

    EPCOT: 1982 vs. 2022

I was fortunate to go in 1982 and EPCOT was (and still is) my favourite park, I like that it felt like a real possible future and not a whimsical fairytale one; unfortunately all the recent changes have chipped away at that and now it's just Disneyland with better food. The music in 1982 was...

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

In the UK the Merlin parks have "one-shot fastpass" tickets which work almost the same way, they allow you from the app to buy a fastpass for any ride, and unlike the fastpass packages, there is no limit on them (i.e. they don't sell out). Pricing wise they are around £12-15 per ride per person...

    Anyone dislike the volggers content?

I remember when Tim Tracker did the slinky dog dash review and he said something along of lines of "you have to do this again at night" - like dude, the rides going to have a 3 hour queue when it opens to the public, there is no way I'm going to be able to ride it twice in a day, and I really...

    Best Space Mountain?

Paris has a rather nasty (and loud) cattle-pen queue line, so for me WDW edges it because of the beautiful retro-futurism queue line and loading area. I'm a sucker for some neon lights and star-field 80's Epcot ambience music. The Paris loading area is just odd, it's pretty much outdoors which...

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

This looks worse than I imagined, at least the old movie sets were interesting (if outdated). They moved some props from the other side of the park and painted a few things in what I presume is meant to keep visitors entertained until marvel area is reopened, which is again mostly rethemed old...

Big Thunder Mountain Paris 2021 tribute

Phantom - I love how it ties into the area, but overall it's shorter than Florida and is missing some of the more modern effects like the projection mapped wallpaper and levitating Leota, even after the recent revamp. Pirates - Nah, possibly the worst version of all. Queue line is much nicer...

Big Thunder Mountain Paris 2021 tribute

Great stuff, especially the music track. BTM is the only "best of class" ride at the Paris park unfortunately, most of our other rides are inferior in some shape or form. The props in the queue line are not props at all but shipped all the way from American mines, really cool.

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

My expectations were low for the Car's Road Trip revamp, and yet they somehow didn't even reach that. Bit of paint here, sticking some goggly eyes on static fiber-glass models there, new sign, kachow! Saddest part is I'll probably never see the Horizon's props again now. I was randomly...

Phantom Manor vs Pirates of the Caribbean

You're Marni so I'm sure you are 100% right - but are there any numbers out there for each drop? I live in Paris and so do their ride all the time, the first time I went to Cali and was legitimately shocked at how bigger the drop feels there, almost like a splash mountain drop rather than just...
