Marvel Studios Developing Asian Superhero Film ‘Shang-Chi’

Shang-Chi is looking like it will be the 8th Marvel Movie (counting spider-man 3 and spider-man) to be the #1 movie in the year it was released. Shang-Chi has a higher audience score than the other 7 movies that accomplished this. I guess that makes Shang-Chi the best Marvel movie to ever be...

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

Is there photos from Shanghai of tron 9 months before opening? from what I found it looks behind where Tron was in shanghai 9 months before it opened. Photo at 8 months before opening was farther along than where WDW is now.

Well obviously Space 220 is a screen ride.

    US Cinemas Are Reopening Slowly.

The post you are replying to was referring to an article written before the weekend which said it was anticipating a 90 million worldwide opening. Obviously, the movie made more than anticipated, but that's what my post was referring to. So basically the movie is making domestically what the...

Marvel Studios Developing Asian Superhero Film ‘Shang-Chi’

Actually no it is not. It's opening night is not the lowest opening ever. It's opening night is nearly identical to the opening night of Fast 9. It beat the opening night of Ant-man, a movie considered a success. It broke the Labor Day 3 day weekend record, on the first day. While it may...

SPOILERS: What if...? -- Discussion of Most Recent Episodes (Starting Aug 11, '21)

A spoiler for a movie that this thread is not about, the use of spoilers was correctly used. I completely agree with you. People are coming in here because they (presumably saw, or don't care to be spoiled) about What If. If you bring up another movie or show, it should still go in a spoiler...

    US Cinemas Are Reopening Slowly.

Note - that's $90 million Worldwide. If I am not mistaken, Black widow made over $158 million in its first 3 days.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

It's funny you think this will lead to empty parks and resorts.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

I thought (and the Rise thread would be a better one to check) that the 1 pm slots you had to be in the park, not necessarily have a park reservation (where in the morning you only need a park reservation). The boarding groups in the afternoon are regularly taking longer to "sell out", quite...

News Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours coming for resort guests

The MK list looks pretty similar to what they offered the paid early access (forget the name - early morning magic?). Basically they are opening Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. For families it is definitely worth it, and it makes sense if you think about it enough.

Marvel Studios Developing Asian Superhero Film ‘Shang-Chi’

Only 54 reviews so far on Rotten Tomatoes, but at a 94. There was a time when 54 reviews from critics was a lot. Now not so much.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Just remember the number of lightning passes given out will be a fraction of the number of fast passes. Not everybody that used the free system will buy into this. It is a subset of those. We could argue all day what that exact percentage is, but it will be a subset. Furthermore, all individuals...

The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

I assume when the poster said "two reveals" that mean two videos, not two characters. Since eight times they have had a statue with two characters, I took the post to mean more than one statue was reveals today.

The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

Two? Yesterday was Pinocchio and today was one reveal of Nemo and Dory. Did I miss one from today?

    2021 Box Office Tracking

This may be relevant to world wide box office eventually (I posted in another thread but thought worth posting here too): The blackout on Hollywood films in China has ended. Disney/Pixar’s Luca, which went straight to Disney+ in the U.S. in June, is opening in China this weekend, making it the...

Marvel Studios Developing Asian Superhero Film ‘Shang-Chi’

I know there was some discussion earlier about how this film didn’t have a China releases (no films from Hollywood were up till this weekend) so I thought this might be relevant. Might also be relevant to black widow soon as well but for now I will just post here: The blackout on Hollywood...

Fab 50 Disney statue location theory

FYI - In the Edna Mode video they said she would be in Hollywood Studios, so that should rule out near the play pavilion. In the Joe Gardner video they said he would be in Hollywood Studios as well, so you may have to readjust your prediction there.

    Cruella De Vil Live-Action Movie

Where did you get the $50+ million for Cruella? The article referred to $50 million for Jungle Cruise and that it is unknown how much it made on Cruella. I assumed you misread?
