    Disneyland To Open Sept. 16th?

The problem with the problem is that only 2% of the homeless population want aid. The other 98% want a bottle and a doobie. I see no fast result. And in my hometown they are going from building to building destroying property. They avoid shelters because of the zero tolerance drug and alcohol...

    Disneyland To Open Sept. 16th?

Here in the S.F. Bay Area it was just announced that a couple counties are seeing a covid resurgence and others are seeing covid rates going down. I'm confused and losing hope for Disney to open by the 20th. My ressie date. I'm going to wait till thursday and cancel my vacation plans. Disney...

    Disneyland To Open Sept. 16th?

What there needs to be is an immunity test. I feel a large segement of the population is immune, completely or partially. No one I know has had it. I'm a Calif. resident and the closest case I personally know about is a friend of a friend in New York state. Bring on an immunity test and let us...

    Disneyland To Open Sept. 16th?

No. I'm the OP. I was told by the CM when I called to cancel that the parks would be open on the 16th and not to cancel my ressies. I have till the 13th to cancel, which they gave in writing. And as I said it wouldn't be the first time a CM has fibbed to me but it is the best news I've had since...

    Disneyland To Open Sept. 16th?

If you cancel with less than 1 day of your reservation they keep your funds otherwise it's a $200. cost if less than 30 days notice. I really don't see this as generating any significant revenue. Most people are smarter than that. The mother-in-law had to cancel with a days notice and Disney was...

    Disneyland To Open Sept. 16th?

I am just glad that one, I didn't have to cancel. All my vacation plans have been canceled this summer. And two, they gave me till the 13th to cancel with no fees. Thirdly, as I said it wouldn't be the first time a cast member has thrown shade my way. Fingers crossed that it happens!

    Disneyland To Open Sept. 16th?

I have reservations for a DLR trip on Sept. 20th. I called yesterday to cancel and the castmember told me they plan to open the parks on the 16th. So I kept my ressie as she also gave me till the 13th to cancel with no penalties. Although I am very excited because I made my ressies back in Jan...

Your Favorite Vacation Spots Other Than Disneyland?

The wife and I do a lot of Vegas trips because we get really good deals on air and room plus it's an hour flight from the bay area. Much like WDW we really enjoy trying the different restaurants. WDW is also on our list. While we go there once a year, being former AP'ers we would do DLR at least...

News Disneyland Resort in California plans to begin phased reopening July 9

I have ressies for DLR in September that I made in January. I'm going to wait one more week and cancel. I currently have about $500 credit with Southwest from canceled vacations. But, better safe than sorry.

WDW Food Pictures Of The Day Part II

I ordered the "wedge salad" and literally got 1/4 slice of head lettuce with dressing and bacon bits. I've never been so let down by a salad before.

When dining at WDW what drives you to choose a restaurant?

I read all the menus way ahead of time for something that sounds like I can't resist and make my choices from there. Some are unexpectedly great and others are let downs. But I try them none the less.

If the boats are only allowing 10 people what are the buses and monorail like? Does it take hours to get anywhere?

    Switched from PORFQ to Contemporary

The Contemporary is great with the Monorail station in the hotel, short walk to MK and great food choices. You will be very happy!

    Rainforest Cafe - Disney Springs?

The problem with RC is too many employees. There's the greeter, then the seater. You get a waiter/waitress and a drink guy to follow. Somebody else brings your food. The waiter comes back and asks how it is when your mouth is full and drops the check on the table. Then...someone else takes the...

Things I really hate about our WDW Resort ( sarcasm)

I got to admit, the welcome home thing ticks me off. I can never initially find my room at PO. What happened to the in-room coffee? I pray that social distancing keeps people from touching me. I'm really only here for the Morimoto Ribs. Sorry, these posts touched a button.

They have to re-open for me not to go.

What should happen to Rocket Rods?

The People Mover is still a big attraction at WDW. And it's a people eater which absorbs crowds. The problem with the DLR track is that Rocket Rods has cracked the track and the whole thing needs to be rebuilt which is a huge OSHA headache and money pit. So it's just another defunct attraction...
