News Sweet Spells to close for Toy Story store?

Aw, I always loved stopping here - for the air conditioning and the sweet, sweet smell of sugar. We rarely bought anything but cotton candy, which I know you can get virtually anywhere, but I will miss you, Sweet Spells!!

News New Theater to be built at the Magic Kingdom - now cancelled?

Disney World's vegan options are outta this world. Disneyland barely had any - and even when they had something that should be vegan (barbecue tofu), it shared a fryer with the fried cheesecake. I love eating at WDW - and I'm far from a PixieDuster, but I really don't understand all the hate.

    Honeymooners!

Our friends went to Disneyland before our honeymoon and scored us "Just Married" pins. You can get those on eBay!

    Disney wedding etiquette

After my husband and I got married we stayed at the GF for our honeymoon, we booked a dinner at Victoria & Albert's one night and went to Epcot that same night. He wore a tux and I wore a short white dress and we DEFINITELY looked like we just got married. We were approached multiple times and...

If you could teleport anywhere in WDW right now, where would it be?

Omg yes, yes, yes!! Hands down, my favorite place in Magic Kingdom. We're doing a Park Hopper for the day in about two weeks (after not having gone for almost two years!) and I told my husband, "I don't care what we do, as long as we get on the People Mover at least once."

    Dumb guests doing dumb things.....

Ugh! Two stories - My husband is an environmental crusader and voice for all living things. When he saw a group of kids unscrewing bottle caps and throwing them (along with rocks) at a bunch of ducks, I told him to wait a minute before yelling at them so we could find their parents. Nowhere to...

    POP Century - information needed

Hi! POP is undergoing a lot of aesthetic changes right now. I love the look of the new rooms, so if you can score one of those things - I think it will help it feel more elevated :) It's one of my favorite hotels because it has its own bus line, so you don't have to make 2 extra stops before...

Travelling with a non Disney fan

I would suggest that if you're up for it, you could take their kids in the mornings and have them meet up with you when they've slept in and gotten breakfast. I also DEFINITELY suggest mid-afternoon breaks. I think adults forget that we need those, too. Pool, bar, nap = my favorite afternoon...

First Time at DLP...and a slight obsessive rant re: Phantom Manor

But they kept Vincent's laugh!! And *that* was very special for me, as I am a massive fan of his work. I don't know French, so I couldn't enjoy it the way someone who is familiar with the language could. Maybe that made it scarier, too!

Heck yeah, I care to listen! Let's hear it!

First Time at DLP...and a slight obsessive rant re: Phantom Manor

Oh, dang! I didn’t even know it was just a Halloween decoration! We were there at a weird in between time because Main Street was totally decorated for Christmas while Frontierland still had these cute ghosts all around. I guess that lessens my claim, then. Because that was my biggest “woah this...

First Time at DLP...and a slight obsessive rant re: Phantom Manor

It did have a pretty big drop, but my favorite part is at the end where you go into a tunnel for at LEAST a whole minute of complete darkness and you're going incredibly fast.

First Time at DLP...and a slight obsessive rant re: Phantom Manor

Okay! So we did it! We went to Paris for a day and a half and found time to do everything we wanted. And yes, that included going to Disneyland Paris. I wonder why this location was chosen, honestly. Paris doesn't need a Disneyland. It's a tourist's city all by itself. -shrugs- Things I...

    Weekdays vs. Weekends

Hi! My husband and I only had a few *hours* at DLP and we rode everything we wanted to. We visited on a Wednesday and it was empty. Literally desolate. Every photo we took has no one in it. I recommend hitting Walt Disney Studios first because, to be honest, it's pretty lackluster. End your day...

    I’m in Paris today’

I'm curious about the baggage situation! We are planning to take the train right from CDG to DLP with a fairly large backpack - is there storage for that in the front of the park?

Missed memories. Miss Memories? Nah, mismemories.

-waits impatiently for the King Louie & Jungle Cruise guy to show up- I could have sworn to the Gods above that I remember Drew Carey riding in a car town Main Street. I'm not sure if he was actually in a parade at MGM, or if I was just combining my memories of Sounds Dangerous to a parade on...

    Tips for staying club level

Club Level is the greatest thing to ever happen at Walt Disney World. Seriously, I am so spoiled by it that I never want to go back to a standard room again. You can definitely get by with breakfast at the club level if you're a light eater, they have fruit, juice, coffee. Lunch and Dinner are a...

    The Captain EO Appreciation Thread

Whenever someone isn't doing something that I want them to do I call out, "HOOTER!" in this tone of voice. Man, I loved this show! I miss it so much. The first time I saw it, I sat in the theatre for a long time after it ended and just cried because it made me miss the magic of Michael Jackson...
