    Back in the day...

I remember going in the mid-70's. There was Smucker's in MK as well as See's Candies on Main St... When Starbuck's was announced last year, there was a grumble heard around the world. I don't mind it at all. To me, those store fronts were nostalgic and unique in comparison to the same old...

    Why so Crowded This Week?

A friend of mine is down there today and complaining on FB about the crowd level. Park hours have been extended tonight and tomorrow, but she's not having a good time at all. :( I'll be surprised if she sticks around the parks after dinner. But that's Spring Break for ya.

going to Biergarten for the 1st time

My family ate there for the first time in January. My oldest daughter, 12, who is the pickiest of picky eaters enjoyed the food, much to my surprise! It was a nice change of pace.

Family of 4 w/2 kids first time on site not sure what resort

I tend to agree w/ giving Wilderness Lodge another look. AMAZING theming, great location, and an amazing pool area! Only a boat ride from MK makes it ideal for going back to your room for an afternoon rest. There's also great dining choices right at the resort. My family (2 children 10 & 8)...

"New" Disney Magic vs Disney Dream Trip Questions

Being the young couple you are, I'm leaning toward the Disney Dream. The adult area, The District, is great for adult fun with a great variety of lounges and nightclubs to choose from. Either way, you'll have a vacation second to none. Enjoy!

    Disney Dream August 14th-17th

Every stateroom has a fish 'clip' of some kind hanging on the wall outside the door. This is part decoration and part message center. The fish is there for Disney to place important communications to you such as excursion tickets and notes from the Cruise staff. It is like a mailbox for your...

Kouzzina by Cat Cora closing permanently at the end of September

I frequent Symon's Lola and BSpot quite frequently. They are wonderful places to eat. He has a style I like--Carnivore.

Kouzzina by Cat Cora closing permanently at the end of September

I've never thought of it as a hard to get to location. No matter which resort I've stayed, I've just taken a bus to DHS and jumped on the Friendship Boat to the Boardwalk. I also find it a nice add on to a "half day" and AK.

Kouzzina by Cat Cora closing permanently at the end of September

I'd love to see some cross branding with the chefs from The Chew. Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Carla Hall...Anyone?

Kouzzina by Cat Cora closing permanently at the end of September

This was one of my very favorites! To read the menu it didn't sound like much, but once you tried the food it was absolutely PHENOMENAL! Sorry to see it will be closing.

    Disneymoon 2014 Itinerary planned!

Everything sounds wonderful! Have you given any thought to a day at one of the spas? There's a voucher in your package for a percentage off. One of your OFF DAYS could be very relaxing with a couples massage or pedicure. My husband and I both had pedicures at the Grand Floridian Spa during...

    transportation to&from resorts, help!

There is a boat from MK to GF, as well. I've used it many times and find it easier and quicker than the monorail. Enjoy your vacation no matter which you decide!

    First Day Ideas?

We've always spent Day 1 at our resort and Downtown Disney. A little late lunch/early dinner--Wolfgang Puck Express and T-REX are our faves!-- a walk through at World of Disney, and an ornament or 2 at the Christmas shop. Then straight to bed. I like to hit the ground running on our first...

    Free dining for Jan/Feb 2013???

It's not exactly a free dining promo, but I've seen some posts that say it's like paying child prices for the adult dining plan. At least its something!
