First-timer needing help with accommodation options

I would suggest splitting your time between Disneyworld and Universal and concentrating one half of your vacation at Universal and other half at Disney. Cabana Bay at Universal has great family suites where the sleeping areas are separate. It's walking distance to Universal and Islands of...

    2020 Vacation Package Release question

Tomorrow's the day! I suspect early in the day - tell your wife not to worry, there will be plenty of availability for booking :)

Animal Kingdom Lodge vs. Yacht Club (Suprise We're Going to Beach Club)

Yacht Club! I love the location right next to Epcot, especially at night when it's easy to stroll home rather than waiting for a bus. Plus it's a walk to Hollywood Studios so it's easy to head back at the end of the day. The pool is awesome and having the boardwalk there at night is...

Pre-Trip Feb 2020 adults only trip!

This sounds like so much fun! Disney Adulting is as much fun as Disney with kids - just different! You're going to have an amazing time! And you can shop for DS while you're there if you feel guilty :)

What’s Your Favorite Fun Park After Disney ❓

Universal! I don't even have to do rides, I just want to hang out in Hogsmeade and take the Hogwarts Express back and forth :)

Best Resort Room for Family of 5?!

When you're ready to book a vacation, I recommend looking at all resorts that accommodate 5 in one room. Depending on what promotions Disney is offering at the time, you might find that some of the deluxe resorts where rooms are bigger and have full size day beds might be more affordable than...

Best Resort Room for Family of 5?!

AoA is great for a family of 5! The 2 bathrooms are key, and there's plenty of room to spread out in. Plus it's really nice to have the suite feel -master bedroom for the parents to sleep alone :) You can request any theming you want, or you can book without requesting a theme if you're...

    Any August 2020 planners around?

I think August is a great time to go actually. Lately weather patterns are all over the place so it's not a given that August will be blazing hot. And if planned well, your days won't leave you suffering in the heat. I've come to realize that a spring break vacation just brings you back to...

    Open Table and DDP

Any restaurant will just ask if you have any kind of dining plan when you either check in or the server first comes to your table. Enjoy!

    Any August 2020 planners around?

I'm heading down there this August - before the Star Wars hype begins. I'm anticipating HOT but there are air conditioned rides, air conditioned stores, and pools to cool off in. It's been brutally hot in December when I've gone, and cool in April. I think with a little bit of planning...

Should I start my reservation on 10/31 or 11/1?

Can you check into a hotel near the airport with a shuttle , go get some sleep there, and then take the shuttle back early the next morning to the airport to take Magical Express to Disney, and then drop your bags at your resort for Bell services to hold and head into a park. So start your...

    January Opinions

Are you flying? If you are, maybe the cost of the flights may help make up your mind. Crowds will always be a factor - even if it's not the marathon crowds, you will be dealing with Galaxy Edge crowds over a holiday weekend. As long as you know you're going into crowds, you're mentally...

    One day at Universal?

You definitely will want a Park-to-Park pass so you can ride the Hogwarts Express. If you're planning just one day, as mentioned by everyone else, definitely do the Express Pass so you can do more rides rather than waiting in longer lines. Uber is probably your best way to get there and back...

    Best month/ week ?

Late September/early October - perfect time of year for the Food & Wine Festival for 4 adults! Schools are back in session, weather is comfortable and did I mention the Food & Wine Festival fun? Plus it's Halloween in Disney so that's always fun! Galaxy's Edge will have been open for a...

    hs plan - please advise!

I agree with picking Frozen over Star Tours - I never seem to have a long wait for Star Tours and even though Frozen is a large auditorium style setting, it is nice to feel like you're getting in sooner than the masses waiting to get in. As for the meet and greets I suggest you check your My...

Planning WDW trip ahead for October 2020 (and I will be well prepared for this :D )

Good for you planning this far ahead! Disney has not yet released 2020 packages yet but keep checking back. Since you are being so proactive, you shouldn't have a problem booking a Little Mermaid room at AoA this far out. And what a fun birthday celebration that will be!!

    Resorts with the best pools

I think all the Disney resorts have awesome pools! My family's favorite pool has always been Stormalong Bay at Yacht and Beach Club. It has the sand bottom which is so nice to walk around in :) You didn't say how old your daughter is, but for little kids Stormalong Bay has a great beachy...

Entering Epcot through the World Showcase?

I love walking through World Showcase before it is fully open. It's so nice and peaceful and quiet. It's a nice easy stroll from the Beach Club, lines aren't long to get in at that time, and you'll be able to walk off your breakfast on your way to Future World.
