News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

I for one am eager for this to open. I enjoy the TRON aesthetic and think it will bring some much-needed life to Tomorrowland (though a lot more needs to be done.) These giant box buildings are unfortunate but at least the canopy is going to be really lovely. Is it possible that the WDWRR will...

MSEP ending at Disneyland on Sept 1, WDW return in 2023?

Maybe not from when they saw it, but the phrasing is weird, and it will absolutely deter some people - my husband is very fond of the parade, and when I asked him if he'd seen the new Magicband, he immediately complained about it 😂 The "glowing away" is a running joke of ours. My husband...

    Epcot 40 Fan Meet-Up

I'm not sure I can make it yet but I am definitely interested! I keep hoping that D23 will announce something but I'm trying to not get my hopes up.

    Cicis pizza.... dreamfinder?

My husband has apparently seen the rhyming ad quite a few times recently (I was out of town and only discovered this a few minutes ago thanks to this thread.) What a world we live in :hilarious:

Rumor Spaceship Earth Redo Shelved Indefinitely

You're giving them too much credit. Disney just refuses to spend the appropriate amount needed on maintenance and employees needed for maintenance. I really feel for the technicians that are trying to keep things working - they're doing the best that they can, but Disney is not giving them the...

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

Iger knew of the comic's existence and success (and was surprised that it did well)...it didn't change anything, unfortunately. Interesting point about Marvel and Figment, though - Kevin Feige is a fan of our beloved purple dragon. I can't remember where I saw it from, but I saw him talk about...

    Expedition Everest effects status watch

SOP with Disney nowadays seems to be, "Can the ride vehicles move safely through the attraction? If so, it's good enough to be open." As for anything else, we're lucky if the main AA is working (hah.) Things will only change if guests stop filling the parks, though at that point, that will be...

I'm planning my first trip! Best tips & recommendations?

I visited already, but I appreciate your post all the same! I was able to ride with my belt bag, though it certainly wouldn't work for all riders. Some of those seats were pretty tight. If I get to go back, I do think that we would want to do the Penguin Encounter - seeing the penguins and...

Rumor Spaceship Earth Redo Shelved Indefinitely

The large one on the left wasn't working for a while, but they got it back up again recently.

World of Color Making It's Way to Animal Kingdom?

My husband and I had the luck of seeing RoL on our honeymoon when it soft opened, on a beautiful night in April. We were absolutely mystified by it. The shaman, the music, the imagery - it had this beautiful spiritual quality that felt like the perfect way to end a day at Animal Kingdom. When we...

I'm planning my first trip! Best tips & recommendations?

One additional question friends! I watched a YouTube video with a pretty great tour/review of the park, and they noted that guests with bags have to check their stuff into a paid locker at most of the rides. Does anyone know if guests with belt bags could keep their stuff with them on the rides...

News New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

An Avengers E should have opened at a park by Endgame. It's amazing how they drag their feet on these things...

News New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

Sure, that made sense back in 2020. But now? Kids can get vaccinated as early as 6 months. However anyone feels about safety in the pandemic, Disney has nearly finished re-opening all of the other offerings they had that were suspended for safety concerns.

MSEP ending at Disneyland on Sept 1, WDW return in 2023?

...I just really would like to enjoy a luminescent nighttime parade at WDW, whatever it may be. Disneyland gets such great entertainment offerings but WDW always gets shafted.

News New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

As much as I would love to hear that Disney decided to go in a different direction with the pavilion, they had the set pieces built some time ago and a good amount of it is probably already set up inside...and they were testing lighting earlier this year. But I am really curious as to what the...

News New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

The end date for permits doesn't necessarily indicate when those that filed expect the project to open.

News New Experience Center to open in the Odyssey Events Pavilion

Remember when dining with Disney characters coming to visit didn't come with a $20+ upcharge anywhere you ate? I miss how I encountered characters at Disneyland (before the pandemic) - you'd turn a corner by the Matterhorn and Peter Pan would burst out from behind a tree and tried recruiting...

News Walt Disney World's iconic Twilight Zone Tower of Terror billboard to be permanently removed

Well this is a bummer. When the ride vehicle stopped moving on the billboard, I chalked it up to something Disney didn't want to pay for during the pandemic... It's a detail that I came to look forward to seeing whenever I was heading to DHS.
