I’m not saying it’s impossible that some higher-ups wanted similar types to what Gravity Falls had (all sorts of precedents are pushed in the writing room from the people writing their checks), but IMHO that’s not inherently a bad thing. And again, I’ll take more Mabels and Webbys over the...
Thinking about the Figment hoodie but it's going to come down to how much it is and what's leftover after the scalpers attack.
Really wish they made more hot-weather wearable items. I love Spirit Jerseys but I have so many now that I can't really justify getting any more when I can't wear them...
Ah yes, and the supporting young female characters haven't been a single archetype since, well, forever?
We should be so lucky to see more shows embrace confident quirky girls in media. Bring on the Mabels and Webbys, I say.
My hopes for this film:
1) Reunite the Dreamfinder and Figment - they're a package deal in terms of storytelling, and keep their personalities the same. Don't re-design Figment, he's perfect as he is!
2) Use fantastic practical effects - I'd like to see Figment mostly as an animatronic puppet...
The only thing that really takes me out for the Dinosaur pre-show is how Claire is styled - IMHO it's the biggest offender for dating the video, plus a few shot set-ups, but oddly enough I kind of like that? Am I alone in this?
IMHO, MuppetVision cannot be touched. The pre-show is honestly one...
If someone can't make it to the Imagination Gardens at 10 am but wants to say hello, will there be any active status updates about where the group plans to be for, say, lunchtime and Harm?
I really enjoyed the reboot! I'm nostalgic for the original of my childhood, but there were a lot of things that the reboot did that I felt were vast improvements while embracing a lot of what people loved about the original and Disney Afternoon cartoons. Webby being a proactive player, the boys...
Serenity was the purpose. Joe Rohde said as much in The Imagineering Story.
Not every attraction has to subject riders to extreme peril. It's fine if that's not what you want to experience in an attraction, but these parks are meant to be for everyone, which means it's necessary to have a...
They had guest surveys done about attractions a few months ago...and those surveys always word things in a tricky way. But I'm sure parents have complained about the ride being scary, or not rating it high because of its maintenance struggles...
But they know the public loves dinosaurs, because...
I'm so frustrated that Disney just wants to throw in the towel on Dinosaur. Dinosaurs are classic and a tentpole of Animal Kingdom.
Zootopia doesn't belong there. I adore Jennifer Lee, but this is so incredibly upsetting. I appreciate them calling it all, "serious talks," which means if...
I was lucky enough to get a reservation for the Parks presentation at D23 - when the Imagination Pavilion showed up on the screens, I can't tell you how big of a knot was in my stomach. I was ecstatic and then - ugh. As someone said earlier - whiplash!
I do have a bit of a theory, though. I've...
If you haven't experienced Torchy's Tacos before, you're in for a real treat! Several locations are going to be opening up in Florida, with the first being St. Petersburg this winter, with Altamonte Springs and Orlando (opening Summer 2023) to follow...
I don't want to hear them announce any new overlays/updates of successful existing attractions (unless there's some specific great need.) The parks desperately need more capacity. They've closed and replaced too many times when they need to be adding - and they have an unfortunate habit of...
I would love to see a crazy Dr. Strange dark ride. There's a bunch of classic dark ride and magic tricks mixed with modern technology to create something really spectacular. It seems like a no-brainer to me...
