I don't know if you're right or wrong, but as of the last week or two OCSO considered it stolen and it is still an open investigation. Disney has a good working relationship with OCSO. Why wouldn't they tell detectives?
Good post. Matches rumblings I've heard and breadcrumbs... the Incredibles test rooms being the most obvious. The newly-refurbed AK Lodge rooms adding a bit more Simba, etc.
They may well know each other, or even know each other well, but Spirit is not Snyder.
While I certainly agree Snyder has obvious bias, that doesn’t mean what he says isn’t true. (Disclaimer: I haven’t read his new article yet)
Polar Express was already gone last year in favor of Rudolph and pals. Since it is a little closer to Bayside Stadium, I'm not saying the new coaster DOES tie in with a larger revamp of that area, but the teaser video was very "arcticy" and it is no secret the Wild Arctic infrastructure is...
I’ve never met anyone who has ridden Raging Spirits or its sister ride in Paris that would see it as an upgrade to Primeval Whirl. Most people describe it as underwhelming, painful or both. But at least Tokyo’s version is prettier.
Remember this was the "hip and edgy" era where Eisner wanted desperately to push boundaries. For a great example of how that almost went even more horrifically wrong, see the history of the original Toy Story or some of the early ideas for what became Tangled, or just watch Chicken Little.
This was no
This was not ahead of anything (except maybe its budget). It started as a fun idea, then Diana's death made the original idea in poor taste. What was left was an ugly mess of a ride with ugly limited motion (at best) figures. I did like the homage to Madame Leota, but that's like...
I'm not saying Spikes did or did not steal the AA, but if another Disney division has Buzzy they would have told the Orange County Sheriff's Office by now, so no more resources would be spent investigating the theft. As of at least the Haunted Mansion heist, Buzzy was still part of two open...
I have NEVER seen a more forceful denial of a rumor by Disney, and I've been at this since before WDW's 20th.
"We’re sorry that our fans are being fed incorrect information by unscrupulous sources."
Also, I'm quite fond of "Cat in the Hat" (better when the spinning was extreme, however). It works very well as a Fantasyland-style dark ride. Could use a rehab, though.
I've thought that since the concept art. Probably a big reason Loews name isn't on them. They could almost call them Universal's RetroSoviet Resort, or Amazon Fulfillment Warehouse resort. Still better than All Stars ;-)
I agree... but. MK will always draw far and away the largest crowds just for being MK. To a giant chunk of people that IS Disney World. I don't think MK needs more E's. It needs things like the Alice & Pinocchio dark rides, the Storybook Canal boats and Casey Jr. Train. Smaller attractions...
First. Thanks for a well-thought out and reasoned response. Let me start by saying I have no problem with Disney rewarding hotel guests with an extra FastPass or two as a perk, for example, if all things were being equal.
The variables make it complicated. I can’t agree directly that dollar...
You know what sucks up crowds? Adding attractions. People-eaters preferred. Magic Kingdom has far fewer attractions than Disneyland. It needs 5 more yesterday.
FastPass wasn’t aimed at solving overcrowding but to get people to spend more. It helped cause overcrowding.
FP+/MM+ did spend gobs...
The point is: when Walt implemented his “Pay to play” model, admission was nominal. The entry fee’s role was for grounds keeping and the like. Parking explicitly paid for the lot upkeep and the attendants. It made sense to the guest (I.e. in context to that system) why each attraction cost a...
