    News Buzzy’s been stolen?

Yeah it was actually very similar. It was interesting because it was a weird mix of stuff. Mixed in amongst animatronics, models, and ride vehicles was ordinary things like office equipment and paper products. I went specifically to see the two Mark IV monorails, but there were so many other...

    News Buzzy’s been stolen?

I took this photo myself. This was in the Disney owned and operated warehouse on Hoagland in Kissimmee near the airport. As to who did the removal I couldn't say, but the point still remains that this is an animatronic that Disney removed or had removed with the intention of storing it and...

    Rumor New Monorails Coming Soon?

The irony is Minnie Van drivers, bus drivers, or any other front line CM usually when they offer information like this to a guest it’s coming from them reading forums like this and other online sources. So the information has made a full circle trip.

    News Buzzy’s been stolen?

I forgot I had this photo, I thought I would share it as point of reference for what it looks like when Disney removes an animatronic.

    News Buzzy’s been stolen?

It looked pretty neatly cut to me, better than some examples I’ve seen from Disney.

    News Buzzy’s been stolen?

There's no real incompetence in this story. The story said these guys had legitimate backstage access. They don't search vehicles in and out and if they drove up to WoL and looked like they knew what they were doing why would anyone stop them? There's lots of work always going on backstage. It...

    News Buzzy’s been stolen?

Disney doesn't have as many cameras as people think. Most cameras are concentrated where money is being handled. If a group of people looked like they were doing legitimate work it's very rare that anyone would stop and question them. I've always said if you have a plain white truck or van and...

    News Buzzy’s been stolen?

Yeah if they were saving him to continue to function. If it was going to become a display piece or just put in the archives or warehouse or something they would very likely cut it out the easiest way possible. I’ve seen animatronics in storage also with cut wires as well as other types of...

    News Buzzy’s been stolen?

Yeah that photo to me does nothing to prove it was stolen. However Disney’s lack of a comment leans me in the direction of believing it was stolen. If it had been simply removed they likely would’ve made a statement that everything is ok. Of course they could still be trying to figure out if a...

    News Buzzy’s been stolen?

Haha, yeah they wouldn't. That's pretty much an admission on their part they have no evidence.

    News Buzzy’s been stolen?

Yep and yet they decided to leave this in an abandoned attraction rotting away for 10+ years. Of course this is the same company that has lead based paints in guests areas, so this seems minimal by comparison.

    News Buzzy’s been stolen?

If the floor were in a public place yes. I can't see them caring about an abandoned closed off attraction. If they did care they probably would't have left it in there all these years where it could potentially develop a leak at any time and go unmonitored.

    News Buzzy’s been stolen?

If it's an attraction that's being demolished in the future and hypothetically someone with Disney was removing an animatronic to have it preserved as a display piece would they even care if they leaked hydraulic fluid?

    News Buzzy’s been stolen?

Yeah arrest mug shots are made public almost immediately. This sounded more like a search warrant and questioning rather than a true arrest though, would that be correct?

    News Buzzy’s been stolen?

Disney is definitely a “one hand doesn’t know what the other is doing” type of company so that’s a very good point.

    News Buzzy’s been stolen?

I was working there during the Mid 2000’s and never heard of it. I guess maybe it depended on the positions. The only time I ever had to be fingerprinted was for the airport identification I needed for airline check-in at the resorts but that wasn’t Disney it was the airport.
  17. s8film40

    News Buzzy’s been stolen?

Well if they added fingerprinting in the last year I wouldn’t know so yeah I could be wrong. That’s a big expense and if so it’s surprising to me. The CFLW is not located backstage at Epcot it is in the Epcot cast parking lot. There is no guarded access to that lot. Pretty much anyone could...

    News Buzzy’s been stolen?

Just a couple points. 1. Disney doesn't let ordinary CM's park backstage, only vehicles that have actual work to do backstage would be allowed in. 2. Disney doesn't fingerprint CM's

Why is there no walkway from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Magic Kingdom?

It’s actually not that dangerous. There are sidewalks for portions of it and when there’s not there’s plenty of room to give you a small buffer from the road. I used to see lots of people walk that route.

Why is there no walkway from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Magic Kingdom?

Yeah I always heard the plan was for it to be a drawbridge. It would only need to be raised twice a night so it wouldn’t even be that inconvenient. Pretty much like the one at Epcot.
