^ The salaries are so entirely insignificant to the bottom line at ESPN that it's got to be relating to something else.

News Wishes to be replaced with new 'Happily Ever After' nighttime spectacular

Lets not get too carried away though. Disneyland Forever had extremely impressive spotlights, and most people thought that the effects were awesome. But the show itself was complete trash. Luckily the soundtrack for the new show isn't nearly as bad/disjointed as Disneyland Forever. I hope the...

    Volcano Bay

I'm sure the park gates will simply have some sort of anti-theft scanners like most stores have, and they'll be attenuated to pick up Tapu's signals. Pretty simple unless someone figures out how to remove the batteries. Even then, there are passive methods to prevent theft as well.

News Wishes to be replaced with new 'Happily Ever After' nighttime spectacular

Earlier in this thread I and others attempted to figure that out. Minute by minute, shell by shell. Nobody seemed to care about really looking into it and/or describing what would satisfy them. Some said that they just didn't want a reduction in the number of shells as a trade for other effects...

News Disney Not Renewing Great Movie Ride Sponsorship Deal with TCM ; Attraction to Close

Um, were they supposed account for an event that happened 20 years later? How many jokes are viewed differently decades later- most of them? :hilarious:

New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

Sorry for the thread derail, but: Sunrise Safaris > Sunset Safaris > Daytime Safaris > Night Safaris in my opinion. I'd give the normal day safari an A or A- depending on several factors, the night safari is closer to a B+ or B, but Sunset/Sunrise Safaris are usually an A+ for me. It's...

This, although as you said- employee compensation isn't really going to affect ESPN's bottom line. I know this sounds crazy since there's a large and loyal fan contingent that listens to these people but I think many of these personalities are being let go for reasons other than money. Remember...

Employees on contracts that probably stipulate that if they move to a competitor that their remaining compensation will be adjusted to account for the new pay. If Disney is paying them "not to work" that's one thing. If they're "cutting their losses" and waiting for these personalities to find...

    A Spirited Valentine ...

When was the last time the Studio tour added anything that was "behind the scenes"? Their recent additions (Kong and Furious) aren't behind the scenes at all. Even the War of the Worlds and Whoville scenes (when used) attempt to add an "in the moment" story. THe flash flood scene has been...

    A Spirited Valentine ...

Agreed for DHS's version. But Universal Hollywood's Studio tour was at one point exclusively "behind the scenes", yet over the past few decades the tram tour has been transformed into a series of mini movie scenes. Even stuff like the Flash Flood scene has had a "story" tacked on instead of just...

    A Spirited Valentine ...

Something that less than 1% of the park ever sees isn't what I'd call popular. There's always a given subset of people who want to see behind the curtain- most of us here probably fit that bill (especially those of us who do work in that manner). I'm not sure if those tours have waned in...

Did he puke when he saw how awful the projections on a water screens were too? Give the kid a break, I did the same thing. :D

    A Spirited Valentine ...

And again, I know I've said this before: People don't want "behind the scenes" anymore. They truly don't. Guest surveys have proven this out. Studios was built at the end of an era where that type of storytelling was popular. That era ended shortly after, which is why the Studios has continued...

For a land most originally said they weren't interested in ................

Couldn't have said it better myself. Disney's facing the same battles that all industry leaders face. They're seen as dinosaurs who are letting the little guys and even the "second rate" guys innovate right past them. The funny thing about that notion is that people have been saying that here in...

    Haunted Mansion Restaurant

How about a haunted dinner cruise aboard the Liberty Belle? ;) Just spitballing, but between dressing the servers as Mansion Butler zombies (like during the Halloween Parties), throwing up a few projectors along Rivers of America, and maybe doing some spooky stories and having sound effects tie...

RUMOR DLP to have paid FastPass

People truly don't comprehend that WDW and all Disney properties are finite resources. People don't even understand basic supply/demand. In fact, many of these people will incessantly whine at Disney when they increase the supply of something like rides, food, merchandise, or lodging- and then...

By deeming those people "delusional" when they compare it to Potter, you're asserting that it is not comparable to Potter. You're offering judgment as significant as theirs when you do so. Just thought I'd let you know. ;) Those aren't comments. They're more judgements. Just thought I'd let...
