    Bringing an almost 4 yo

We just took my daughter at age 3.75 years. She did great! We did 3 park days, followed by a pool/playground day at the resort, followed by 2 park days. We would arrive around park opening and stay until 6-7 pm most nights and stayed until closing 1 night. She didn't nap. She did great and loved...

Free Dining Might Change My Plans

I'm a big eater who's on a budget, and buying regular quick service meals usually leaves me hungry afterward. I wish we would have bought the dining plan so we could have eaten larger meals at the better table service restaurants/buffets, but we paid for our hotel with airline miles so couldn't...

Anyone else annoyed by the ropes and nets all along the waters edge at all the beach front resorts?

I think the new barricades look great for what they are. I still find the boy's death incredibly disturbing. Anything to prevent that from happening again is welcome to me. I have two young kids and would be sick if something like that happened. I feel so sad for that little boy and his family.

Would you prefer a larger shower and no tub?

Having just a shower would be very difficult for bathing my young kids. They hate having water in their faces. I think many young kids are the same. Since so many young kids come to Disney, tubs are necessary. If you don't like taking a bath just use the shower. There really is no purpose to a...

Can you still use cash at toll roads

The ones we went through were coins only, machines with no workers.

its gonna rain all week.. when do they put up the dome..

We were in Epcot last Tuesday, when it rained all day long. I barely waited for anything! Most rides were a walk-on, and I used fast passes for the major rides. The downside was Test Track was closed. :(

its gonna rain all week.. when do they put up the dome..

We were just there for a week, and it rained every day, usually for hours at a time. Sometimes it downpoured. My shoes, and our stroller were soaked. My advice for myself for next time: bring water shoes, bring a stroller cover, bring better quality ponchos than the cheap ones which broke easily.

Spending Money (Food, Snacks and tchotchkes)

We just went for a week with 2 adults, a 3 year old, and a 1 year old. We spent money on a few moderate table service meals, a few snacks (we brought most of our snacks), and mostly did quick service meals. We each got a small souveneir. We were on a budget, too, and we spent about $1000-$1100...

    Toddler planning tips

We just went to Disney World with our 20 month old. He hated Hollywood Studios because there is no play area, and he had difficult behavior. He did the best at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom because they have play areas, which we used a few times a day. He pretty much liked all the rides.

I think people who actually use wheelchairs and ECVs are more knowledgeable about what it's like to use them than you.

Thanks for that! It's cute. My kids enjoyed watching the video 4 times in a row

    Figaro stuff in the parks?

Oh cool! I'll suggest that to my family. We all love Figaro! We watched Pinnochio the other day for the first time, and our 1 year old was laughing at everything Figaro did!

I've only stayed at 1 of each category but loved them, so I'll list those. :) Wilderness Lodge, Caribbean Beach Resort, All Star Music

    Moderate/Value Resort Thoughts...

I'll put a plug in for value resorts. We stayed at All Star Music and loved it! The theme/decorations were cute and fun and really made me feel like I was in the middle of Disney World. Room and amenities were fine. The food at the food court was much better than I expected.

Sorry to hear about how you got hurt from scooters. I think your last line is a great idea. I used a scooter once in Target after I had knee surgery, and it was very difficult to maneuver. I ended up crashing into a display and knocking the shelves and products off. I was completely stuck and...

Do you need fast passes for Frozen Sing Along and Indiana Jones?

Do these shows require fast passes in mid May? We don't care where we sit as long as we're in. I'd rather use them on the rides, but I don't want my family to miss the shows they're interested in. Thanks!

I don't anticipate my double stroller causing any problems. I take it to amusement parks many times per year, and it's never gotten in the way of anyone. It's no wider than two people walking side by side. I've never crashed into anyone. You are really making a mountain out of a molehill. If...

    Figaro stuff in the parks?

I already have two cats, one which looks just like Figaro. I love tuxedo cats!
