I can only compare Pop Century to Port Orleans Riverside (both trips were in late January of different years.) I found Pop's buses to be more efficient because we didn't have to stop at other resorts or bus stops. Plus, the queues were more organized.

We went in January 2010. We booked everything in September 2009. For our January 2008 trip we booked it in November 2007. For our next trip, we'll probably book 4 or 5 months out. I think booking in August would definitely be okay.

I read that the parks could be more crowded on Valentine's Day so that kind of makes me think the week earlier would be better. It's hard because both times we went in January there were crowded days and not-so-crowded days. The tour groups only bothered us on the last trip though.

For the record, I didn't notice any line cutting with the groups we saw in 2010. So that was good at least.

Can you elaborate a bit so I can have a better idea? Did you see them at every ride/park you went to? Were they singing/chanting in the bathrooms? Clogging up the fast pass machine areas? What resort were you at and did you see them there? Thanks for the info.

Crazy. I had read that January was the big month for the tour groups (and based on my experiences, I'd agree!) Not February. Brazil's academic school year starts the first week of February, I believe. So I imagine as far as Brazilian groups go, it would die down a bit. Is that not correct?
