    Resorts and mousekeeping

After the pandemic is seen as “over” I do think daily housekeeping will come back at most hotels. But also I expect the industry-wide trend of offering loyalty points, or money to spend at the hotel if you decline housekeeping will continue. right now I do think many hotels are overcharging...

    Resorts and mousekeeping

You do know there is still a pandemic ongoing? Also, stay somewhere else if you don't want to pay the price, but many hotels aren't doing daily housekeeping at the moment, due to the pandemic.

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

I think the guest numbers in the park are relatively low die to the pandemic though, so waits are short. Once crowds are more back to normal it will be interesting to see how many people are willing to pay to queuejump.

News Disney World is Now Limiting Purchases for New Items

I think some things should be park exclusive. Having an "I went to the Magic Kingdom at Halloween and bought a stupid hat" hat should be something only for those who did actually go to the park.

    Answer to Epic Universe?

For the room style I'd take Cabana Bay over any Disney moderate or value resort. It just looks like Cabana Bay tries to carry the theme through the whole resort and rooms better. Whereas Disney all starts are generic 90s style with some posters of Move/Sport/Music stuff in the rooms.

What if Disney Brought Warner Bros. in 2016 instead 20th Century Fox?

I agree I would expect WB merging with Disney may have been stopped as it would create too much of a monopoly.

Minnie's Halloween Dine returns to Hollywood and Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios

I think the improvement is likely due to it being plated entrees rather than sitting out on a buffet counter. Even if the food isn't much better, the fact it hasn't sat under the hot lamps for an hour might help. Also I guess the chefs/cooks being able to concentrate on six entree options is...

The average first-timer's research for a visit?

Without FP+ it should be possible to "plan" everything just using the park map but Magic Kingdom is such a large park its hard to see everything in one day.

Oh How the Tables Have Turned

Some places are still all you care to enjoy? Some of the buffets got replaced with family style such as Biergarten. Others that always have been all you can eat family style still are such as Garden Grill or Ohana. Hollywood and Vine currently has characters again, but is a prix fixe menu not...

Which is worse, DAS or paid fastpass?

Yes but as a few posters had mentioned chairs and other assistive devices I thought it might be worth mentioned because as you say

Which is worse, DAS or paid fastpass?

Don’t forget if you need to use a scooter or wheelchair then you usually don’t need DAS from guest services as the CM at the ride entrance will sort out accommodations.

News Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser coming to Walt Disney World 2021

I would have expected similar to DCL that coffee/water/soda should be included anyway

    News Disneyland Magic Key Program

In a way DHS and DAK are lower priced than Epcot and MK though as a 3/4/5/6 day ticket is cheaper than a one or two day ticket. I am surprised there hasn’t been multi day tickets which only allow one visit to DL or MK to control the crowds at the main park while encouraging visits to DCA or...

News Disney's Magical Express to end after 2021

Are the Mears drivers employed directly by Mears? Uber don’t employ their drivers and that is probably the main reason why a directly employed driver would feel safer.

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

ah okay, when you said normal park hours I assumed you meant not during extra hours.

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

So based on how MaxPass worked, the previous poster who was worried about spending the extra magic time just booking things, that isn’t possible as can’t book until 9am (or whenever normal guests are allowed in).

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

But could you reserve times during early morning magic hours or only after official park opening? ASSUMING the new system is paid FPs you book in the park I really don’t see people needing to use that first half our to figure out what to book and when. The demand for paid FP should be low.

News Disney's Magical Express to end after 2021

I used to use Mears before DME was a thing and remember it being pretty much exactly the same as DME. We stopped at a handful of other Disney resorts before ours.

News Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser coming to Walt Disney World 2021

I’m in the UK and booked to stay at Port Orleans Riverside in 2003 with Virgin Holidays, then PO French Quarter in 2007 booking with Disney UK. Disney have been promoting their own hotels over here for the last 20 years at least. There has always been an option to rent a villa for larger...

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

I knew the first return time was usually an hour after opening with paper FP (so usually 10am) but couldn’t remember how distribution worked. it does seem like the new Paris system is very much the same as paper/MaxPass FP, but you just pay per pass.
