Except it’s your arrival to a super expensive resort. Covering up concrete block and all the exposed pipes is all they needed to do. That way it didn’t look like you’re arriving to the utilidors instead of your home away from home. It’s called design and one of the big reasons people love Disney.
ACK!!!!!! The parking at Kidani is hideous at best. It reminds me of a builder-grade vacation condo in South Carolina with all the utilities exposed, concrete block, etc.... So, so, so, bad!
Uh no. Paris is the worst. It doesn’t even have narration. You just ride through with the background music.
I happen to love the overlay in Cali, though.
They're going to have all kinds of issues with that burger. Only one burger on the menu and it's plant-based? People not paying attention will just order it thinking it's a "normal" burger and then be upset when they realize it's not. I foresee so many returns. :(
I'm not saying they should...
The first was an architectural statement in itself...and fit the time. Unfortunately for that style, it didn't age well. I love the new one more than I can even say. First, I love modern, and this is crazy awesome. But, most importantly is what the design and building say about architecture and...
Right? It even says amended on it, so not new. And wouldn’t they have been invited to the preview back in March or February? They should’ve already seen the show had moved in and was ready to open. 🙄
And the Inside the Magic people are saying it’s a new permit and WDI is going to renovate the theatre now before the show moves in. How can people be so clueless? No wonder no one knows what’s real anymore with “news” being written by people that have no idea. Sigh.
The old sign was absolutely giant! Cool, but giant. Maybe Disney had to come up with signage standards when all the 3rd party stores came in and they were forced to align with those standards themselves? So, a smaller sign was needed. :shrugs:
Compared to the scale of the facade they’re on the other signs don’t seem this big though. Maybe it’s because their name is long, or because it’s pure white...I dunno. It just seems out of scale to this facade....and also seems cheap. Just my opinion.
WHOA! It's a pedestrian mall. Why do they need a sign that massive and that high up? OUCH! I don't remember any other retailer having signage this giant. But, maybe I'm forgetting. This design is definitely leaning more generic outlet mall and less immersive themed environment. :(
There is progress. The creditors have taken over the company and there are plans to get them back on their feet...and also support the employees.
