Journey of Water featuring Moana coming to Epcot

He has a hose that he randomly uses to squirt guests who get too close to the rope fence or complain about the heat.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

You're missing the point. Genie+ is magical. Don't you see that? It magically makes your money disappear while giving you nothing in return.

    Question about PO Riverside

We have been there twice in the last two years and no issues whatsoever. I was also worried about allergies or the mess but it didn't happen.

Journey of Water featuring Moana coming to Epcot

I would argue the hiring/promoting of some individuals were the worst decisions as they led to bad park decisions. I would add that a terrible decision was the original plan for New Fantasyland that would have rivaled the deconstruction of Future World. Sometimes, it isn't one bad decision but...

From landing at MCO to WDW check-in - How bad/variable is the Orlando traffic in the evening on any given day?

Aside from the tolls, there are more stop lights on that path and I am averse to stop lights wherever possible.

From landing at MCO to WDW check-in - How bad/variable is the Orlando traffic in the evening on any given day?

We have landed at 5:30 on Sundays for our last few trips. Getting our luggage and rental car probably take as long or longer than actually driving to Disney. We took 528 West over to I-4 East. Traffic was easy on 528 but was a little heavy on I-4, especially around Vineland but still moved at...

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

It probably wouldn't make a difference but I wonder if Imagineering thinks of light pollution and how to avoid it when designing these fixtures. Downwards facing lights or focused beams would seem to be better choices, although I'm saying this without having observed these new lights at Epcot...

Journey of Water featuring Moana coming to Epcot

In my opinion, cutting Mary Poppins as what they intended to build was a good thing. It would have been an elaborate queue with a carousel and would have cost way more than it should have. I do agree that much of this project has been a mess when comparing the amount of work and time spent...

News Pirate rooms at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort to be replaced with 'under the sea' theme

I guess, technically, the Galactic Starcruiser did this. They just went and made the rooms overly expensive and added a LARP'ing thing to try and justify the cost. I always felt that AKL and WL probably had the best overall theming while the other deluxes were mixed. The moderate hotels...

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

The band selected to play for the grand opening should be Manfred Mann singing, "Blinded By The Light".

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

I do not like lights that are higher than 3,500 Kelvin.

Maybe one reason folks are still going to WDW

For us, one big reason is the all-inclusive nature of WDW. We talked about going to a national park but, for some personal reasons, it will be far easier to go to WDW. I love national parks but for, say, Yellowstone, it's driving a while to get to spots. Plus, we have some issues when it...

Most magical moment at WDW (fairly recently)?

Two for us, two years in a row. We stayed at Royal Pacific at Universal and it was fine. Room was decent and the resort was nice and we had a great time at Islands of Adventure. However, we had just stayed one night to take advantage of Express Pass the next day and then we checked into POR...

    Indiana Jones Land?

They could create a tram/train/skyliner to take people from the main Studios park to the expansion area.

Slinky Dog Dash vs Test Track

I almost gave it the nod but BTMRR wins for theming (just my opinion) and Hagrids has the best ride experience with good theming throughout. Just my questionable opinion. Let's not get into a fight about the anthropomorphizing of coasters, though.:angelic:

Slinky Dog Dash vs Test Track

Best themed coaster goes to either Hagrids Motorbike or Big Thunder Mountain. Big Grizzly Mountain could right there but I haven't been on it yet. Taron is another well-themed coaster.

Slinky Dog Dash vs Test Track

I actually love Velocicoaster (I'm a bit of a coaster junkie) but it doesn't pretend too much. It's fast and has that awesome section as it cuts in, through, and around the rocklike concrete and waterfall. The second launch is great and, as a coaster, it hits on all cylinders. Due to the more...

    Indiana Jones Land?

This line from The Last Jedi sums up how they feel about the parks: "Let the past die. Kill it if you have to. That's the only way to become what you were meant to be." Ms. Kennedy made it clear how she felt (and probably why the new Indy film may be a stinker) and that attitude is present...

    Unpopular opinions about the parks?

I'm not sure that is an unpopular opinion. Iger seems like a good pitch man or spinner but that's about as far as I would go on his abilities. Unless we are counting having the ability to single-handedly irritate Disney fans beyond all measure.

Orange Bird in Adventureland or Epcot.
