If you have the backbone, most Orlando timeshare pitches offer free Disney and Universal tickets. Trick is that these are very pressure packed pitches, and more than a few people have left regretful. In my case, I ended up with a very ed off sales rep and three sets of tickets.

First trip for the kids, when they were 6 and 4, we took a 6am flight out of JFK, was checked into our hotel and off to the parks by 11. By 2, they were exhausted and needed to go back to the hotel for a nap.

For the most part, I was not thrilled with the (non-BOG) QSRs at MK and DHS, lots of dry, over-salted food. At Epcot, nearly all the WS QSRs are excellent, I loved being able to get fresh sushi and green tea ice cream at Katsura grill in Japan.

I go back to the 70's when it was just the MK and River Country, so there is a twinge of nostalgia when the experience was far more intimate and less structured. I do feel with Universal constantly pouring $'s into USF (granted with far less land to do so), there's going to be continued...

Personally, Epcot is always my choice for first day arrival touring. If your arrive mid-day, the fact many guests have moved to the WS, plus the sheer size, means FW has comparatively shorter lines. For my trip we arrived so late that the MK (which closed at midnight) was the only viable option.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Universal acquire the US theme park rights from Marvel in perpetuity? Would that not require Disney to right a very large check to get back the rights?
