    Best table service at MK

I was very unhappy with the service at Cinderella's on my February trip. The server was nowhere nearly as attentive as I expect from a Disney sit-down meal, particularly when we needed to wait 15 minutes for the final check. I understand that the restaurant is popular, but there is no reason...

    Spending money

Allears.net has very current menu prices for each restaurant, and going to disneystore.com and looking under parks merchandise will give you a good proxy of what shopping will run you.

    Rude guests (rant sorry)

There's always going to be bad apples in the bunch, that's part of life. At WDW, it's nowhere as bad as say Six Flags, but it's disconcerting when it happens. A few aggravations on my last trip, in Feb: Parents letting their kids run wild on the bus back to the hotel Large groups stopping...

    The Disney disapointment

I may be wrong, but I recollect that Disney always begrudgingly made capital investments in the parks in the 80's and 90's. In the Eisner days, nothing was built unless they had a partner to underwrite the costs. The really only had 2 new attractions added (Splash Mountain and Buzz), as...

Just a warning, I'll be at a software conference at the Yacht and Beach Club 5/15-5/18. CPAs and IT professionals can be a wild bunch lol

    Memory Maker

I'm curious how that happened, aside from Seven Dwarves and TOT, all the ride photos require a user to pick out their ride photo and scan to their magic band. Seven Dwarves and TOT have RFID scanners during the ride. Over the week, I don't think I got any incorrect ride photos. If anything I...

How do I get a Response From Disney?

While partly in shock, the parents gave me one of those "they're kids, we have no control over them" looks. If it were my kids (and these kind of things have happened before) I would take money out of their souvenir budget and have them walk it over to the table, apologize and offer to make it...

How do I get a Response From Disney?

The point is I am never nasty, and in my experience, an institution that prides itself on customer service bends over backwards to help its guests. With the ketchup incident, I never sought out the restaurant manager, one of the cast members on the floor sent him to me. While I was more...

How do I get a Response From Disney?

On the rare instances where I had a legitimate concern at Disney, speaking to a manager in person always rectified the problem. This past Feb at the CBR, housekeeping did not bring enough towels or toiletries after I requested them the first day. Speaking with the front desk after day 3, it...

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

I just stayed in the CBR, and had no issues in terms of room quality, location, housekeeping or amenities. My only issue was that the bus service was not adequate for the resort crowd. Mornings had between 15-40 minute waits for buses, and in the evenings it was not unusual for 1-2 buses to...

Star Wars - How much is too much?

If you look at Universal and HP, you see that there is a near-insatiable appetite there, Universal could quadruple the HP footprint and attractions without worrying about over-saturation. I don't think the current Star Wars plans at DHS, adding two A-List attractions and plenty of POP...

Is the MCO Security Line Usually That Bad?

I've grown to accept that the LGA, JFK and EWR have 30-45 waits through security, which is why I try to fly as early as possible. Last summer when I went to Salt Lake City, I went from curb to gate in 15 minutes.

Star Wars - How much is too much?

Disney wrote a very large check to George Lucas for the privilege of expanding and monetizing the brand. So far, I don't think they are regretting the investment. It's a true generation-spanning brand that fits in nicely with Disney, Pixar and Marvel.

    Carribean Beach Resort......

I was at the CBR in February and was assigned Aruba: Aruba is the second stop coming back from the park, a big deal because the parks do not provide enough closing bus service to the CBR IMO Our room was on the lake, a 10 minute walk to OPR. Because of the spread out nature of CBR, it did not...

    Magic Kingdom, which day?

Actually I disagree on MK as the first park for kids. Going to the MK first creates a bias against Epcot and AK. My approach was to hit Epcot and AK first, to let the kids see it on their own merits. Also Epcot is a good arrival day park, as it tends not to bias against late arrivals.

    Photographic Annoyances

In my trip last month, there was at least a dozen times when I took a photo, only to have photobombers jump in at the last moment. Now, I am a hobbyist who takes care to frame the picture and get the right light, taking into account the random people who accidentally walk into the shot. Up...

    FP+ Schedule and Ideas Help

This is a loaded question, because we don't know how old your son is, nor what your family's appetite is for certain Disney experiences. A couple of general guidelines: Save the Fastpasses for the truly big line crunches (SM, 7 Dwarves, Peter Pan, Buzz, BTM in MK; Soarin', TT, Frozen in Epcot...
