Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

I agree and should have noted that despite there being extremely limited LL availability, when we redeemed it (admittedly in the middle of a rain/electrical storm day) I don’t think there was any wait on either side of the LL merge.

DCL Buys Unfinished Mega Cruise Ship - Genting Golden Dream ???

I wonder if they will also use it for meet and greets and other activities that are currently held in the atriums on the existing ships.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Maybe it’s changed but when we were there ~10 days ago it was surprisingly hard to get Mission Space after noon. I think everything else besides Remy and Frozen (and GotG) had reasonable availability all day.

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

I would love to see both DLR and WDW transition to either the DLP system or the TDR system— both of them give more flexibility for buying the rides you want when you want and let you access the LL for your favorite rides more than once.

    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

I agree. I didn’t really enjoy it, but I was intrigued by it—and assumed Season 2 would have continued to show the relationship between the surviving characters, Yoda, and Plagueis. I’m definitely less likely to watch the next SW show unless I really enjoy the episodes as opposed to having faith...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

I don’t think anybody suggested it wouldn’t be possible to get a few good rides at DHS under any circumstances. Starting at 11AM (for practical purposes) is much later than I would have thought you could knock out all headliner rides, though I seriously doubt this strategy would work during a...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

In addition to the trains running full, at Disneyland they are actually a useful transportation option for those with moderate mobility issues or kids too old for stroller but too young to walk 10 miles a day. Admittedly, a bit less so lately with the New Orleans stop closed, but in general it...

News Country Bear Jamboree is getting new songs and acts

As a quick post-visit update— both of my kids really enjoyed the show (but felt there wasn’t enough Big Al, and they missed Blood on the Saddle)— it felt very short to me. My favorite part was actually the slideshow that accompanied Try Everything. We ended up watching the show twice during our...

Rumor Tokyo Disneyland Splash Mountain Retheme Discussion

Funnily enough, I walked by a Pocahontas meet and greet at Animal Kingdom this morning and was reminded of this thread.

    D23 2024 Disneyland Rumors, Predictions & Discussion

I would love an Aladdin dark ride on a magic carpet (would also be a cool family coaster, I think)—but imagine if they themed it to the live action remake. 🤪

    D23 2024 Disneyland Rumors, Predictions & Discussion

Aren’t the Pan attractions (which I love) uniquely difficult for handicapped individuals who can’t transfer? I could imagine Disney not wanting to build new ride systems that exclude a chunk of the population, especially in California.

    D23 2024 Disneyland Rumors, Predictions & Discussion

They do incorporate medleys from the original trilogy score into the fireworks at GE in DL and it’s pretty awesome.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

I am here now. Speaking as someone who spends a lot of money in the parks, eats almost exclusively table service (also buys overpriced snacks throughout the day), and stays deluxe— I’m just going to come less. It’s still exhausting to wake at 7 for VQ, and then we have to get to the park early...

    Lightning Lane Drop Times

I was actually in the parks yesterday and today— I didn’t pay too much attention to the specific drop times but I did not see much come available often after about 3pm either day, but with a LOT of refreshing I was able to get Tiana and BTMRR on Wednesday (after 4pm, never did see space mountain...

Rumor D23 2024 WDW Rumors, Predictions & Discussion

While I disagree with the decision, I don’t think it’s ridiculous. If they limit the audience to the people who still love Disney and have enough optimism (or even faint hope) to go through the trouble of attending, the first hour or two of social media content and chatter will skew far more...

    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

I’ve been torn between asking what exactly Pedro said that is the same and not wanting to drag this thread even further off topic— but speaking as a lawyer, I think it would be crazy for Disney to settle. The actress can run up costs (backed by Musk’s money) but the current Supreme Court is...

    Lightning Lane Drop Times

Awesome, thank you for your service. Moving on to griping, I thought they were changing the system so guests don’t have to wake up at 7AM, but now it looks like I’ll be waking every morning for VQ and then many days also restructuring my LLs, but instead of being able to get a whole additional...

Grocery delivery to WDW resort hotel

Keep in mind that your Disney resort may charge you a delivery fee as well. I believe that we paid $25 or so to Beach Club for accepting an Amazon Fresh delivery and bringing it to our room in December 2023.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Thank you! I plan to try it out this Friday at AK (possibly Thursday depending on how exhausted we are after EEH Wednesday)— will definitely try to modify on the way to the park, after tapping into park, and after tapping into LL…will do my best to remember to report back during downtime.
