News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

I'm not going to pretend to definitively know when Disney will drop their indoor masks limits, but just a couple of things to remember when making assumptions: Disney, via DCL, has given their date where they believe it is a reasonable expectation that all people 5+ who wish to be vaccinated...

    MSEP coming to Orlando?

I started to mention logistics issues in the Destination D thread, but anyone questioning what could make the trip, I'd encourage you to look at an aerial view of the MK Parade Route around Lib. That turn and bridge are the two biggest limiters in MK's Parades. Then look at an aerial view of...

News Reflections of Earth confirmed to be replaced by Harmonious

The one benefit of this "plug and play" approach that the majority of the show can AND SHOULD be revised with new films. Any "international" musical properties should be added relatively quickly. For instance, if Encanto proves to be a hit, add an Encanto bit to Latin America and market it as...

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Northeast *should* open all at once (alongside the closest thing to a central pathway we've had since the center closed). However, I could see Starbucks being able to open ahead of the QS.

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

It looks like it (thank god). Now to pray that its switched before Internationals come back to Showcase (seeing Flag shirts in FEA and Gran Fiesta take me out). I believe that (after a lot of shuffling) Starbucks is supposed to be in Northeast. Originally (around a year ago) I was told Holidays...

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

Lately, Disney has been arguably slipping and starting to use internal terminology in press releases and materials. From the "Daytime Activation" now to "Greeter Structure," it makes me wonder where the line will end up drawn.

Shadow laid off at Hilton Head Resort

Someone must not have told whoever is responsible for the cut that Shadow is prominently featured on Hilton Head merch…

    Destination D23 2021

Was this not known? I doubt publicly announced (although it would make for a nice announcement at the “You Can Pay to Attend a Press Conference” thing) but I assumed this was at least common knowledge on here.

    Destination D23 2021

I still haven’t heard anything about this happening, so for me it was more of a “this is why I doubt we see it happen at DHS thing.” That said, cutting a few units (obviously Mack, and likely 1-2 others) and throwing a big tent up in whatever they call the Television Lot these days could make it...

    Destination D23 2021

DHS’s Parade Storage Facility, as is, could not accommodate PtN. Moreover, DHS’s Parade Route is tiny. It may actually be the smallest in any Disney Park with a Parade Route (I can’t think of a counter example).

News Walt Disney World holidays 2021

This is horrible. Not the decor (which isn’t great but it looks fine all things considered) as others have complained, but the positioning. Why is this in the center of an active store taking up the majority of the space. It’s not like there are two currently unused facilities in the same...

News Primeval Whirl, Stitch's Great Escape and Rivers of Light permanently closed

I'm under the impression that she intended that as well-founded speculation. There's two factions on this: quick replacement (would likely be something like a pre-fab coaster, likely even sticking with existing themes) (also, quick=2024/*maybe* late 2023). Other intends to save it as something...

Food portion cuts to increase profits?

To me the obvious answer here is to cut back the number of Family-Style, All-You-Care-to-Eat dining options that seemed to proliferate in the pandemic.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

A quick question: If your park reservation is for DAK, but your first selection of the day is made for Slinky at 7 AM (return time after 2 PM), does the 2-hr rule kick in at DAK park open or DHS park open?

News Disney Very Merriest After Hours

Is there a *chance* that Disney caves and releases larger Passholder, DVC, Cast, etc. Discounts on this?

    Jungle Cruise Re-Imagining

Tokyo loads in twos and has a much more structured load process (unlike WDW where you could be pre-merge and still make it onto the boat). They also have seat cushions! That said, I’ve always wondered why WDW never added a second Load area, unlike DL they do have the room to pull it off.

News Unplanned ride system maintenance at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror in Disney's Hollywood Studios

I hope this doesn’t mess with Sunset Seasons Greetings or the Beacons of Magic.

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

Absolutely there are times when it’s unintentional; it happens to the best of us. And of course all of these matters will end up being treated with courtesy and professionalism, that’s how Disney has trained it’s cast for years; That’s why I gave the 95% (which may even be closer to 90%). That...

News Return of the Walt Disney World tram fleet tracker

Lucky for you, not too long before the closure, they changed the tram procedure to where the safety spiel begins playing as the tram is moving to save time.
