You beat me to it! But the parents of Elva Baby must know it!

    MLS coming to WDW

We usually have a moratorium on putting the TV on while at WDW (at least news and all), but I may need to make sure I have one of the apps set up to listen!

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

Honestly, I can’t say what they feel they gain beyond feeling like they can resume life like nothing happened. Me and my family follow the guidelines (mask, social distancing, hand sanitizer, etc.). But we’re not sheltered away in fear of it anymore, the more news that comes out that the models...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I completely agree with what you're saying. But I maintain that it's irresponsible to just release that cases are increasing and leaving it as is. Plus it was going to happen anyway, given more people being out and about. It's a fantasy to think that once the numbers decreased, it would...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

They aren't talking points if that's all the news leads off with. It's not informative and all you hear are about increases in cases. You hear nothing more, seemingly. Go and look into the numbers and the reasons for the increases. I would think that you'll find that there are hefty...

    MLS coming to WDW

Had things not shut down, I was due to see the Predators play the Flyers here in Philly. And it looks like we'll be in WDW when the final game is played on August 11! That's pretty exciting!

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

It is if all you say is that cases have increased. You are leaving out increases of tests, who is asymptomatic, who tested positive for antibodies, how many are hospitalized. Just saying there is an increase is irresponsible, as it stokes fear and in some cases hysteria, depression, etc...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

But they would need to look at all the data, not just confirmed cases. There are too many variables and not enough people looking beyond the headline of sensationalizing the increase in numbers.

I agree. Add into the increase beyond testing are the people simply not following the simple guidelines for taking precautions now.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I remember him doing that in March, just as a lot of other local governments were doing. But at that point, the virus was much more an unknown, on top of not realizing how long businesses and other things would be closed. At this stage, it would probably need to be a modified process, as...

    MLS coming to WDW

Oh, I fell in love with it the day we got there and went to get dinner on Broadway! We have to go back to check out The Gulch and some other areas, as well as catch a show at The Opry!

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

A vlogger I watch from time to time, frequents Shanghai Disneyland, and he wasn't wearing a mask for the outdoor portions of his latest video. He mentioned that the mask restrictions outside were lifted.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

While it's nice to see some movement, I'd like it better if they stopped focusing so much on the period before the parks open and I was thinking that they're really focusing on the time period when the parks are closed, and I'm hoping for more info for when the parks are open!

It isn't too soon to open everything back up, but it's too soon to not wear masks and take precautions!

    MLS coming to WDW

I agree. For a brand new team, Nashville has a pretty good-looking club. I was able to watch a couple of their matches on TV, and liked what I saw. And I would love to see a championship come here for the MLS! I've been a soccer fan for a long time (used to go to Philadelphia Fever, then...

    MLS coming to WDW

My two favorite teams are in the same group, Philadelphia (my local team) and Nashville! We were in Nashville last summer for vacation, and apart from it being somewhere I'd want to move (all kinds of music everywhere, guitars and vintage records all over the place!) they were really ramping...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I was thinking the same thing. As far as I know, they're contacting existing reservation holders to do what they need with their bookings. I hope they get to ours soon, since we're due there early August. Not sure if I can add someone to our reservation. But having the system, and even the...

Possibility of being moved to DVC resort

We're going to have a situation where we're going to be adding a person in the middle of our week while there in early-mid August. Does anyone know if that will be something we can do when it's our turn to confirm or modify our reservation?

So I cant visit the resorts now unless I have a dining reservation?

Thank you so much for posting these! We last went in 2018, 8 months after my Father passed. I got my love of trains as passed down from my Father's side of the family, with the Great Grandfather and Grandfather working on the Baltimore and Ohio, my Father collecting and running all scales. I...

So I cant visit the resorts now unless I have a dining reservation?

That sounds fantastic! I understand the reason for not allowing people to visit the lobbies for now. At some point I'll get to see that room.
