    Bibbity Bobbity Boutique Questions

We will be taking our daughter (who will be 3.5 at the time) to WDW in November and I have some questions about Bibbity Bobbity: 1. How long does it typically take from the start of your reservation to when you leave? Just trying to get a general sense of how much time to allocate before a...

Suggestions for a Very Low Salt Diet

My parents are joining my wife and I (and our kids who will be 3.5 y/o and 1 y/o) for a WDW trip in November. My Dad must keep his salt intake very low so a typical dinner for him is a plain piece of fish, a plain steamed vegetable and a plain carb. When we went without babies/toddlers in the...

News Gotta Pay2Play: Paid FP on the way!

This. Before I had kids (my oldest in 2.5), my visits had slowly transitioned from (a) mostly WDW with a couple days at Universal to (b) all Universal except for 1 day at MK. Now that I have kids, the next trip will be all WDW. WDW is fun, but a lot of work and potentially stressful...

    Which week to go?

I've booked a 2018 WDW trip (the first for my kids who will be 3.5 y/o and 13 months at the time) for Saturday November 24 (the Saturday after Thanksgiving) through Thursday November 29. We won't arrive to the parks until around dinner time on Saturday. I'm interested in people's thoughts on...

Seeking Input on Various Options for a 3 y/o First Visit to WDW

Thank you everyone for all your input and ideas. You had some insights that we hadn't considered. My wife and I have decided that we are going to bring the 1 year old too and go as a family. Now the new challenge ... when my daughter heard you need to fly on an airplane, she told me she...

What were crowd levels like last Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (November 7-9)?

You didn't come across that way at all :) I found your post to be honest and helpful!

What were crowd levels like last Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (November 7-9)?

Thanks. We will get FPs for Peter Pan if we go that week. My daughter won't be tall enough for SDMT so we will be skipping that this trip anyway (except for maybe my wife who missed out SDMT last visit because she was pregnant).

Seeking Input on Various Options for a 3 y/o First Visit to WDW

Congrats on your kids' success! Those are great achievements! For my brother, he has been ok with my niece missing school for vacations, but now that she will be starting high school next fall, he feels differently and doesn't want her to miss days in high school.

    Restaurants for Breakfast

Another vote for Boma. I think it's the best buffet breakfast at WDW and usually has some items that aren't found elsewhere.

What were crowd levels like last Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (November 7-9)?

I've been to WDW in November before, but never the week of Veterans Day (which is also typically Jersey Week). For our 2018 visit, the weekdays on Veterans Day week (also Jersey Week) work best for us. We are planning to go Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as crowds then will certainly be less...

Seeking Input on Various Options for a 3 y/o First Visit to WDW

Thanks. He was born 10/28. We didn't want to start planning anything until he was born, but now we are ready to plan away :) And fortunately, my wonderful wife is doing great and in a good mindset to make decisions. Why do you say Poly or GF over Contemporary? I've stayed at all 3 in the...

Seeking Input on Various Options for a 3 y/o First Visit to WDW

I welcome unsolicited suggestions. We would love to go with my parents or in-laws, but there are scheduling issues. My parents are willing to take the whole family on a WDW trip but because my niece is in high school, we would then be limited to Winter Break and selfishly, I don't want to deal...

Thank you for raising this point. It's a good one and something I will need to keep reminding myself of.

Seeking Input on Various Options for a 3 y/o First Visit to WDW

My 2.5 y/o daughter is already chomping at the bit to get to WDW (it must be in her blood/genes). She has been to Disney on ice twice and Disney Live once, and knows that she can meet the Princesses and Mickey/Minnie at WDW. My wife and I have told her that we will take her when she is 3 years...

    Emeril's Tchoup Chop Closing 12/31/17

I ate there twice. Very good food. Sorry to see it closing.

Time for the war to begin.

There is no need for a 5th gate at WDW and no reason to buy SeaWorld. Those plans would just create more of a mess than exists today. What WDW needs to do is: (1) complete AK and DHS (or whatever the new name will be) so they are filled with rides, shows and attractions; (2) add a few...

Changes to private dining hours at Walt Disney World Resort hotels

I'm a healthy eater when not on vacation (and while on vacation for the most part), but I confess I enjoy late night pizza when on vacation. It won't cause me to modify my vacation plans, but I don't like this change.

News Exploratory geotechnical borings for new Epcot retention pond suggest new projects are in the works

Agreed. I have no insider information, but I would be very surprised if that was the plan. The monorail system doesn't seem like a very cost effective way to move people. I'd certainly think WDW would see how the arial tram in Epcot/DHS area turned out before going back to monorails elsewhere.

    Am I crazy, or..

All this is true, but another big factor is whether a family drinks pop (or prefers water) and eats dessert. My family doesn't drink pop and rarely eats dessert. When I factored into the math that we would prefer tap water to ordering a drink and would skip dessert most of the time, the meal...

Pregnant and planning a WDW trip. Zika concerns!

My wife and I cancelled our WDW trip scheduled for early November last year because of Zika concerns. At the time, we were planning to start trying to get pregnant the following month. From our research, we concluded that the risk was very low, but we also knew that if we went, we would be...
