Trip Report COMPLETED: The Cold(s) Didn't Bother Us Anyway

I'm enjoying reading your report. I'm going to WDW in November and my kids will be about the age of your kids then (mine will be 2.5 and 13 months) so I'm envisioning a similar trip. That said, as a Michigan Wolverine, I'm looking forward to photos without that MSU shirt!

Trip Report COMPLETED: The Cold(s) Didn't Bother Us Anyway

You are not being sensitive. What a rude woman!

Am I being too ambitious to park hop with little ones?

Yeah, I want to retain the flexibility. We are only going for 5 nights so that flexibility might be important depending on what FP+ options are available each day of our visit. It's my first time going to WDW with young kids so the hoppers may end up being a waste. I always made good use of...

First time with a kid (only 6 months old)

Barnstormer and maybe Mine Train (it will be close) are probably the only that she can do ride and he can't. How would she get a double ride with rider swap? Wouldn't she go with me or my wife while the other waits with our son, and then with rider swap the other parent would ride alone? Do...

Seeking Input on Various Options for a 3 y/o First Visit to WDW

] Ending up taking a lot of your advice into account. We booked a 1 bedroom suite at Bay Lake Tower so we will be able to have the 1 year old nap in the bedroom with a closed door while the rest of us hangout in the living area. Also, my parents are joining us for the trip. They are not...

First time with a kid (only 6 months old)

Interesting. We are going to WDW this fall with our to be 3.5 year old daughter and to be 13 month old son. We were debating whether to leave our son at home with my in-laws, but seeing your post makes me feel better about our decision to bring him with to WDW.

    Infant and naps

I give you lots of credit for traveling to WDW with a 6 week old! I tried to avoid leaving the house at all when my kids were 6 weeks old!

    Is 5 nights enough?

I typically stay 4 or 5 nights. You can't do everything in that amount of time, but you can do a lot. That said, if you make a 6th night work, I would go for it.

    Contemporary?

All three are great choices. I stayed at the Contemporary for my 1 year anniversary. We ate dinner at California Grill (our favorite WDW restaurant) and I special ordered a cake for dinner in advance of our trip. I also love the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian. I do not think the Grand...

What ride do you like that everyone else hates?

I remember waiting in long lines for the People Mover in the early 80s. It's still one of my favorites ... perhaps in part because I am always excited to see it as a walk-on after waiting in those long lines as a kid!

    Infant and naps

Yeah, that will take some extra planning. I figure one day for example we will try to make our last attraction before naptime the Tinkerbell M&G ... that way we are near the exit in case he won't nap in the stroller.

Am I being too ambitious to park hop with little ones?

My wife and I are doing some early park plan scheduling for our WDW trip this November with my parents and to be 3.5 y/o daughter and 1 year old son. We have not been to WDW with kids this young before. We are staying at Bay Lake Tower. We were thinking of the following for one of the days...

News Hand sanitizer stations now common at Walt Disney World

When I was 12, mid-trip I became sick with a fever and didn't have the strength to get out of bed or eat. I missed 2 days at the park. Still have vivid memories of how devastated I was missing out on all that park time.

    Instacart to your resort

How did Instacart work out? How did you deal with groceries that needed to be refrigerated if you weren't in your room when they were delivered? I will be heading to WDW in November with my wife, kids (who will be 3.5 and 1) and parents. We are all light breakfast eaters and my Dad is on a...

    Infant and naps

Thanks for input. Good suggestions. We are staying at Bay Lake Tower so that will reduce the travel time back to the room at nap time when we are at MK. I'm hoping we can find a way for him to nap a bit in the stroller at the parks. If not, on the 3 days we will be at MK in the morning, my...

    Infant and naps

3.5 already! ... it seems like just yesterday I was reading your posts from when he was born! I recently booked the first WDW trip for my kids who will be 3.5 (daughter) and 1 (son) at the time we go in November. The 3.5 year old won't need naps (though we may force some midday resting time)...

    A Spirited 15 Rounds ...

This. As the father of a 2.5 y/o daughter, I love seeing female heroines and don't read further into it. This morning my daughter was running around the family room swinging an empty wrapping paper roll and told me it was her lightsaber. She has not seen the Star Wars movies, but she has seen...

    Free dining 2018?

I think the poster you are referring to meant that if free dining is not available and you have to pay for the dining plan, then it may not be worth it (depending on your situation). For example, my family does not drink pop (we are good with tap water) and we skip dessert at most meals. If...

    1 or 2 days?

I would do 1 full day at MK and split the other day between MK and another park. If it were me, I would do AK, but given that you have ruled that one out, I would do MK in the morning and then DHS in the afternoon/evening (make sure to see Fantasmic!).
