    MNSSHP Trick or Treat Bags....

My kids hit all the trick or treat spots using the free bags they pass out and they were plenty big and held up pretty well. I think my son still has it and uses it to hold marbles or something.

Best Place To Eat In Hollywood Studios??

Sci-fi drive in. The food is just ok but it's a nice place to take a break. After a long day at DHS, it was nice to sit in a dark place for a bit while the kids were distracted by the movies.

Le Cellier had a chicken sausage and maple syrup polenta dish that was awesome. i forget whether it was an appetizer or a main course but, it was the most memorable part of a very good meal.

    Must-do WDW restaurant?

Chef Mickey's. Not only for the food but to get the autograph/picture quota with the big five(Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald) out of the way. Makes it easier to talk the kids out of character meet and greet lines.

Mickey's Not So Scarey Halloween Party!

My family and I have been the last two years and really had a great time. We made t-shirts for it at the place in Downtown Disney but did not wear costumes. However, some really go all out. There were some incredible costumes.

First Week of January at WDW?

There is a marathon/half marathon/5k that weekend in conjunction with a health/fitness expo at ESPN(i think). My wife is a runner and we're going down so she can participate(Me? If i try to drive 26 miles, i have to stop for a big gulp or a coffee, let alone run it). I've never been down to...

    Haunted Mansion Question

Two years ago, when my little guy was 4, he didn't make it into the stretch room. He yelled "too dark, too dark" at the top of his lungs and bolted for the exit. We got him on it last year, when he was 5, and he loved it, realizing that its fun scary, not scary scary. Prior to our trip, we...

    October Weather

I've gone down with my family the last two Octobers and the weather was very nice. 2009 was hot. Last year(2010), I think my kids may have worn a light sweatshirt in the morning but shed it by 9:30-10:00. In terms of rain, when i was researching for our first October trip, I remember...

Favorite breakfast item anywhere in "The World"

Tonga Toast. It's very good and reeks Disney. One of those things that if you say the name, everyone knows what it is and where you get it.

    Noise Level at Character Meals

For what it's worth, i remember that both Chef Mickey and Tusker House have a mini-character parade during the meal that can cause quite a ruckus. If i remember correctly, i think they actually pass out instruments to the kids at Tusker House to join in the parade. I don't remember any type...

Anybody been to Mickey's Magic Show? (Disney live!)

Took my kids to it a few months ago. Wasn't bad. Wasn't great. In terms of "kids shows," it was somewhere in the middle(better than a typical Sesame Street show/not as good as say the typical disney ice show). Because of the Disney name, I was expecting it to be better than it was. I think...

Boma or Tusker House for Breakfast??

We were able to get the 8:00 reservations on a non-emh day and it worked great. We ended up in the first room. All the characters came by and we were done with them by 8:30 or so. On another trip we had 8:35 reservations. We were seated in another area and things seemed to take quite a bit...

    Worst Meal at Disney

Had a hair in my sweet and sour chicken at the counter service Yak and Yeti last October. It wasn't an eyelash. It was a huge, twisting hair that didn't seem to have a beginning or an end. It wasn't on top either but at the bottom. I ate practically the whole thing before i was unfortunate...

Fun Ways to Countdown to your Trip?

We made a paper chain. Each link was numbered with the days until our trip. Each day the kids would remove a link. For the last 30 days, the kids wrote a "Disney activity" to do as a family on the inside of each link. The Disney activities were things like wearing Disney PJs to bed, reading a...
