News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

But when conducting business they - or more likely an employee - would be driving the truck with their business plastered on the sides.

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I'm not sure I would agree. In 1927 the economy was booming, Tiana had a new business, and a new truck would most likely have been purchased. The crash wasn't until 1929 and even though we, looking back, know that the Great Depression was looming, I don't think many people at the time realized...

News The Walt Disney Company Board of Directors Extends Robert A. Iger’s Contract as CEO Through 2026

I've removed the recent personal attack/sniping at each other posts. You all know better. Also, could posters not go off on a movie tangent? Yes, movie profits are part of the big picture, but discussion of individual moves, actors, etc are not and belong in the Box Office thread. Thank you.

Saying that you don't like something that you have seen is OK. The speculating about how you won't like something you haven't (or anyone hasn't) seen, or the constant comparison of what is versus what was, is not OK.

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

Pre-pandemic it was $45, so went up $9 so 20%. I don't know about others, but my groceries have gone up almost that much. I'll be honest, I always thought they were overpriced, but I can't eat enough to justify an expensive buffet, and my family has never been a big fan of "characters" so we...

News New Changes Coming to the Disney Look 2021

Of course they should adjust pay to retain or attract employees, and I agree that many employers don't realize that until it's too late. But my answer was in response to a post asking what is wrong with an entry level employee staying in that position until retirement. I also agree that the...

News New Changes Coming to the Disney Look 2021

If they are pushing their employer for a raise for themselves, fine. I responded to this post "If someone gets a job at 16 and stays there until retirement and doesn’t change positions, so what?" They can push for increased wages, but unless they are willing to change jobs or increase their...

News New Changes Coming to the Disney Look 2021

It's not a problem if they consider it a "living wage" , do not complain, and don't expect it to be raised by government mandate. If they do have a problem, then they may have to consider different options.

    Fx Shōgun

I read the book, watched the original series, and look forward to the newest version. Unlike the 1980 series, it is being filmed in BC because they couldn't find enough undeveloped land to do it in Japan!

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

I agree that it is difficult to walk the line between discussing a situation caused by politics, and expressing outright political views - including insulting politicians. But many members have been able to walk that line. If posters think it is too hard, they should just not post anything.

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

When this thread was started, things were still in the planning stage. We are well past that point, and are close to TBA opening. It is time for discussions of Song of the South and Splash Mountain to end. It is gone, never coming back, and nothing anyone says will change things.

Any experience with roll-in shower or "transfer shower" in standard rooms at the Poly?

Thank you so much! I am getting ready to remodel my bath, and will be removing the tub and want to install a transfer shower that is only 3-4 ft wide. This gives me an idea of how it can be configured - including having a shower curtain instead of a glass door. I have a small window in mine, so...
