New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

Like the ones you have to wear after cataract surgery. Not very attractive, but they work. Also, they can be worn over most regular glasses, so double protection if worn over sunglasses.

If you factor in the actual time on the attraction, plus time running from attraction to attraction, the number of rides decreases.

News Typhoon Lagoon Reopens March 17, 2024

https://sportsfacilities.com/combating-the-lifeguard-shortage-a-comprehensive-guide-for-aquatics-center-management/ Now, if WDW was willing to pay $100 hr they could poach from other pools/beaches in the state. ;)

How to get unblocked from a thread?

You cannot be unblocked at this time. Also, the correct procedure is to send a PM to a moderator, not discuss it publicly.

How to get unblocked from a thread?

You continued to disregard moderator instructions to discuss the new attraction, rather than the old, so you were blocked. Anyone can be blocked at any time on wdwmagic forums. Many long time posters jokingly refer to it as "being in Disney jail."

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I agree. I would like to see more vegetation to give it a swampier look. But not every part of the bayou looks the same. Some spots do have more water visible. And more vegetation (even if fake) might make it harder to keep the water clean?

That is still supposition without anyone actually experiencing this. But this whole discussion has been full of hypotheticals.

Then that's an employee education problem - the park didn't deny issuing the card, individual employees took it upon themselves to ignore the card. But it still comes down to the park for not making it clear that employees could not make decisions about whether a guest had a legitimate reason as...

News Disney plans to accelerate Parks investment to $60 billion over 10 years

Thanks, and interesting, but let's not lead posters off track to the WDW versus Universal debate again. ;)

    Yacht club vs contemporary

It depends upon what you want to do. The Contemporary is within walking distance of the MK only. Yacht Club is within walking distance of Epcot and sometimes a long walk to DHS - or a boat ride to both. The Yacht Club has the better pool - if it isn't being renovated.

Apparently, some of you either missed or chose to ignore this message. I should have expanded it to mean insulting anyone, not just posters.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

This is becoming a circular argument. WDW does have paid options, but they also have a DAS which is NOT a paid option. The complaint is that those who have paid are allegedly being delayed getting on attractions by those who have not paid for a similar option, especially since many guests have...

Please note that these are average times, not times for specific days during a specific time frame. So, the times could be less than 12 minutes - even 0 - and more than 17 minutes - even 20+

I was responding to the statement, "only the caregiver should be allowed to ride with the person using a DAS."

That would mean that a sibling(s) would have to be left alone if only one parent/caregiver is with them. I took many trips to WDW with my children without my husband, and many parents of multiple children do not have a spouse.
