Disney Quest to close in July 2017

But it wasn't the Mos Eisley cantina was it? I thought the whole thing was suppose to be a new planet.

Disney Quest to close in July 2017

It would be cool if they did a Mos Eisley cantina/Star Wars themed restaurant since they don't seem to be putting one in MGM. Or, if they want to keep everything SW in MGM do a Pixar themed restaurant which would allow them to take out Pizza Planet at the park. Each floor could be themed to a...

Captain EO final show on 12/6 - Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival to be the replacement

Aw man. I know it gets a lot of hate on these boards but I still enjoy it. I'm a little bummed I can't swing by for one last viewing. I think we are going a few days after. Its not worth making an emergency trip down like I did with Maelstrom but I'll be said to see it go again especially since...

RUMOR: Tomorrowland Terrace to be Converted Into Themed Restaurant

I'd much rather they just serve that rectangle pizza they use to serve in the early 90's at TT than the asian fusion stuff they have been trying whenever the restaurant is opened. It was also served at Epcot in the restaurant Starbucks replaced. I use to love that pizza as a kid. The decor of...

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Sploosh. Fantastic news and some very nice concept art! Reading previous posts and some of the previous rumors on other threads my question is this....How can they include the Cantina that we all want for the signature restaurant with the land being an entirely new planet? That would be a...

DHS Makeover - What we know so far.....

The rumor of Little Mermaid going away at DHS just makes sense if they are making Pixar a heavy presence around Toy Story. LM wouldn't fit into any of the surrounding areas if it was left. It was a fantastic fit when Art of Animation was there but by itself its just odd. While the show is fun...

    Possible Frontierland expansion

If the expansion is restricted to Frontierland I'd much rather them create a dark ride/thrill ride of some sort. My first thought is something involving a wagon train to keep the theme of the land. You could incorporate prairie scenes and old west town scenes and add thrill ride aspects...

Major 2015 Pirates of the Caribbean Refurbishment Watch/Rumor.

As long as they can get the sound levels right, mainly the cave digging scene in line, beach scene and skeleton steering scenes before the drop, and fix the water intake on the boats on the drop I'll be happy.

Bob Iger at WDW now ... BoD to Follow?

Sorry Judge, I was merely using the Uni example as evidence to further the case why Dinosaur and an Indy clone could coexist at WDW. Which is on topic.:cautious:

Bob Iger at WDW now ... BoD to Follow?

Exactly my point. Only a small percentage of people will even realize or care unless they are riding them in the same day. It also will help people give it a pass if the ride is really good, which Indy is.

Bob Iger at WDW now ... BoD to Follow?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the new Transformers ride at Uni the same ride system, vehicle, and layout as the Spiderman ride less than a mile away at IoA? (I haven't ridden transformers yet so I can't speak first hand but have seen enough pictures to see similarities) I haven't heard...

    Does it Bother Anyone Else?

It is probably a necessary evil. The trees that were removed got too tall and ruined the forced perspective and/or over powered the castle which would make the castle seem small. They will hopefully replace them with smaller trees after the hub is finished. That is why they have the small...

    Breakfast at BOG?

IF they serve crepes I might actually be tempted to have my first ever breakfast IN a Disney park.

What has your experience been for new years eve at the parks?

I don't think I'll ever go to a park during the last week or so in December (Christmas to New Years). As a "local" and someone who has visited many many times I just cannot fathom fighting the crowds during that time of year. I could maybe see myself going to watch just the fireworks...

will disney build more hotels ever at WDW?

I knew it was one or the other. Thanks for the correction.

    Lake Buena Vista Playground

Did anyone else grow up playing on the playground that use to be at Lake Buena Vista? It was a brown wooden play area with a slide that was located, I believe, where the stage is OR where the pin store is at the now Downtown Disney. I'd spend hours there with my dad while my mom would visit the...

will disney build more hotels ever at WDW?

I believe the theme was Asian but it was cancelled and then it morphed into the Poly which was obviously built on a different site. There is a great article on the Passport to Dreams website about this site and the hotel that was proposed.

2015: The year of the EPCOT makeover?

Then you are in for a treat when that monstrosity comes down and you get to see the original glorious view from the entrance.

    Best/ Worst WDW ride?

Best or are you asking for everyone's favorite ride? Best ride is either Tower of Tower or Splash as they have the best themeing and their story matches perfectly with the ride systems. Favorite ride is Mansion or Pirates. Worst ride is Triceratops Spin. Stitch isn't a ride so it doesn't fit...

What are your favorite queue lines/waiting areas?

The Living Seas before Nemo - Cool scuba gear, the 360 pre-movie movie, "and it rained...and rained......and rained", then the hydrolaters, THEN a short dark ride. Pirates before fastpass split (which I hate) ToT Mansion
