I dont know what DCL ship youbhave been on, but every variety act (comedians/magicians/singers) I've seen has been a full show.... sometimes out the door - particularly on the Magic. I've seen it with my own eyes.... usually after I've eaten escargot in Lunieres, Tritons or Royal Court. ;)...

Disney have played a blinder here.... create a lounge space like skyline that isnt used much in the day.... now the star wars bar can be used all day - bring the kids for mocktails in the day time and adults only at night time. It's no longer a wasted space during the day! Plus they know people...

It was the same with the millennium celebration and 100 years of magic opening events. Closed park. ViPs, etc. Disney know they don't need to run anything special to sell pins and limited edition merch to people that will go and sell it for 3 times the price the same afternoon.
