I suspect that their logic is the "new" Mermaid Show and new Villains show would more or less replace the lost Muppet*Vision capacity / draw. Realistically though, there are so many aged stage shows in this park that should have been replaced with more regularity to further draw guests away...

New rides draw more crowds than 30 year old 3D shows. Not saying I like it, but that's a fact.

You could see it in Cars Land, from the central hub, etc. Part of the problem is that Hollywoodland was and is vastly inferior to the setup of Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard at DHS, but Tower of Terror absolutely was a visual intrusion on the skyline of that park.

FWIW, it's a 3 for 3 replacement in Dinorama. I sincerely hope that the boulder sequence remains for Indy but everything else about the ride experience is unique to Florida.
