I understand that. But if the Rock is there and the standby becomes 210 min cuz everyone smells what the Rock is cooking, then what? We are back to where we started, no?

So there could be rides that are IAS without BG and a normal standby line. I wonder if the standby lines for headliners without BG could ever close and go to a VQ.

Reading through it again, I suppose they could drop it to one IAS eligible ride or perhaps even none. Which may increase the value of G+

So it would be TT and GotG? I thought there always has to be two “high demand” pay per ride options not included in G+ per park at virtually all times. Stunt shows, M&G and the like. I can understand that reasoning. Why not both? Build a big E and a C/D like Pandora and GE but also add a show...

In perpetuity? There is no intersection between supply and demand? Demand forever outstrips supply? Again not arguing, just trying to understand your pov.

Just a friendly ribbing. He’s not necessarily wrong, it’s just a tough business stance for a inherently creative endeavor. And the ‘twain shall never meet (eye to eye).

Are you practicing for your interview in the industrial engineering department of Imagineering? 🧐

Careful, if you have too much food for that bowl you’ll need a bigger one and then potentially be charged for sharing an entree thus opening up the possibility to add one more person to the meal so they can stand, chairless, eating out of your bowl of food.

Solid 6.5 hours of sleep per night. Seems reasonable for a vacation destination that relies quite significantly on families with young and younger children. I suppose I’ll set an alarm for 11:58 pm to purchase G+ and 6:58 am to buy the IAS time slots.

And GotG, and TRON, and……. 😉 So do you ever increase supply? Or just increase prices and efficiency? (A slightly rhetorical, mostly not, general economics question) Would there be any circumstance in which it would make sense to increase capacity? (A mostly non-rhetorical question, slightly...

It certainly wouldn’t be more. Could it be 80% of former FP users? 60%? 40%? I’m sure they’ve ran the numbers. I *wish* we had some idea as it seems it would greatly affect the perceived value of G+ as well as the IAS.
  12. Missing20K

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Not arguing, legitimately asking, do we know this for sure? Are they limiting them, or can everyone buy one should they choose? I doubt uptake would be as much as FP but it seems there are enough anecdotes of people having no clue about or how to use FP that it’s usage was also not 100% I’m...

Project Kiwi (Groot) and Exo (Wampa & Hulk) in NYT

This story sure was out fast. I saw it on CNBC. Did they perhaps foresee the negative fallout they’d receive from the G+ rollout? Disney is developing an exoskeleton that could bring the Hulk to its theme parks

Sonofa….. Now I gotta figure out which one I am. Probably a bit of 1, mostly 4, with a dash of 5 😆

But do they really “verify” and what constitutes a verifiable reason? What if someone got a migraine? If Ken/Karen get “stuck” on a boat dock, is the CM gonna call up the dock in question and verify the guest’s story? I’m not saying they didn’t deny people outside of the window, I’m saying with...

I could get on board with that idea. Certainly far more than anything mentioned with G+

“Little Susie had to use the restroom and then Johnny had to go to the restroom and then my spouse had to get the turkey leg and that’s why we are two hours late to our *Individual Attraction Purchase* that we spent $24/pp so Johnny could ride RotR” I’d like to meet the CM that tells this guest...

You’d think DIS would have figured all of that out prior to release. Instead here we are trying to settle in a common term we can all understand.
  19. Missing20K

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Gotcha. I’ve just seen anecdotally that at wdw they were/are rarely enforced and the recent anecdotes about Rise BG times not being enforced, I question how strict they might be on the $LL (edit: individual attraction purchase) return times.
