    Pics from my trip

Very nice pix. Vivid colors... did you use a "vivid" contrast setting in your camera, do a processing method, or something else?

    Parking Garage at AK????

It's too industrial, in my opinion. Yes, it's a parking garage like you'd find "anywhere..." but it's just bare concrete blocks for walls... not even a slap of paint (or at least, it was whan I saw it, shortly after the resort opened). Having said that... it is tremendously convenient for room...

    Qeustion about "deals"

Various "deep" discounts have been around in earnest since the tourism slump of September 2001. At one point around 2004, you could get AP / general public rates of as low as $49/night in value resorts.

    Disney Package Refund Policy

You may be able to, given the length of time between now and your trip. However I'm no expert in that department... someone from Kingdom Konsultants should be around any time now, and should be able to better explain the cancellation policies.

    New Imagineering book...got it early!

My high-dollar rarity is an original 1967 introductory booklet on Project Florida :king:

    New Imagineering book...got it early!

Supposedly a completely new book. Think "companion" to the original rather than a typical "sequel." Newer projects, yes, but also new concepts (supposedly).

I wanted to share some old stuff w/ you...

Awesome pix. Love 'em. And I'm fortunate to have that very same postcard in my possession. If anyone out there can make their way to the Queens Museum of Art (at the old fairgrounds site), they had a handful of IASW and CoP original postcards still up for sale in the gift shop.

    New Imagineering book...got it early!

Even more nuts is that the paperback one is $300-plus, but the hardcover is only $99-plus. I have paid over $200 for a book. ONCE. And it was a helluva lot rarer than the Imagineering book, which I purchased at Disney around 2003/2004 at shelf price.

    Tripods

I typically set aside a specific day for "night pix" and only bring my tripod that one night. They're a PITA to lug around anyway. A friend of mine has actually been escorted out of Disneyland for using a tripod... however once he complained to Guest Relations about it (since there's...

    Tripods

I apparently do... usually two or three people approach me because they think I'm a Photopass photographer. :lookaroun

    New Imagineering book...got it early!

Mine's on the way, too. Looks to be a great book based on the sneaky-peekies I've seen.

Ever read the reviews from non-Disney fanatics on TripAdvisor?

Doesn't surprise me in the least. Tripadvisor is nothing but a b!tchbox, plain and simple. People on there love to see how snarky they can be, and I find their site to be of practically no value at all for legitimate, honest reviews about lodging, attractions, or anything else. I looked at it...

    Ticket price increase

August seems about right, yes. You won't get much warning prior to an increase, but typically word leaks out about a day in advance.

    Advice for FW Campground

I don't have any specific info on FW... but my parents are biiiiig RVers and mom's always telling me that she sees a lot of discussion about camping at FW on the TrailerLife.com forums... you might be able to get a better, RV-technical answer over there. Enjoy your trip!

Dis characters coming to MK Small World?

Agreed. It's in the style of Mary Blair, no doubt (though the Alice one is the best of them all, in my opinion)... however it's overly attention-grabbing. TO me the Nemo ones and the Lilo/Stitch ones are the real "sore thumbs" in terms of fitting in. Others, however, were seamlessly...

Damaged 'Leave a Legacy' tower now repaired and back on display

Didn't original concepts from him have a landscape feature (essentially "overflowing" ferns/vines/plants/etc) on the top of them to cut down on the jaggedness? I want to think I'd seen sketches to that effect before someone (maybe even him) had changed it.
