News Disney KiteTails coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom October 1

Maybe, for an upcharge, allow visitors to ride boats while the characters are riding theirs. That way, you could see them closer. Maybe have a jungle cruise style ride in that waterway...

News Two new solar arrays coming online in 2023 will double Walt Disney World's solar capability

Don't I know it! I've got some "dimpled darlings" in my driveway right now. My neighbor down the street has the Tesla solar roof installed. Impressed with how it held up to our spring hail last year.

Rumor lightyear update to the buzz actions in the parks.

I think Coco and Encanto seem to be in this category. Yet, I haven't seen anything significant with overlays for them. IIRC, this board was speculating that there'd be a Coco overlay for Mexico (I like the idea, I just wouldn't want to lose the 3 Caballeros). Nothing ever happened there. Well...

Journey of Water featuring Moana coming to Epcot

No more COVID passes for Disney. Even the ILL's are sold out. But, you're right, the old epcot is gone. They'll pay homage to it at the entrance. Anything past there is Festival of the Arts, Wine, Food, Flowers, Gardens, and Holidays. The walls will come down and more food booths will be...

Rumor lightyear update to the buzz actions in the parks.

No, I don't. The "art" in question here is a movie. It does reflect the creators' vision. However, when their world view doesn't match mine, I refuse to be their patron. I do understand the role of art as a challenge to current views. I don't think the excesses I'm seeing should be in a...

News Two new solar arrays coming online in 2023 will double Walt Disney World's solar capability

Good point. There was severe wind sheer though. The shopping center next door wasn't as "lucky" though. A bank there was destroyed.

News Two new solar arrays coming online in 2023 will double Walt Disney World's solar capability

There's a certain large computer company in central Texas installing solar in the parking lots of one of their buildings. They're carport style. I believe it's a POC. But, it's interesting that it's mainstream enough in Texas but not in Florida... Oh, and they survived the recent tornados. One...

    Major Grand Floridian Refurbishment

But where, oh where, will they sell the plushies at the Contemporary? I have to admit that we bought our monorail model and Contemporary building in one of those shops. But, I agree; they take away from the aesthetic of the concourse. Oh, and so does Chef Mickey.

Rumor lightyear update to the buzz actions in the parks.

Interesting concept. However, I don't believe I should be using my resources to be a patron of art I don't agree with.

    Expansion Coming?

It already has. We didn't really see half of Springs on this last trip. We hit the "big hitters" and skipped the others. In fact, I was surprised at the stores people mentioned; I really hadn't seen them!

News Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser coming to Walt Disney World 2021

Certainly more than I would have guessed. Very impressed with the bookings.

When the artist's world view leaks into the art, you need to also judge the art. If the Manufacturer starts creating inferior product, you have to judge that as well. Sadly, the masses don't do that.

News Walt Disney World Resort and Coca-Cola collectible bottles for the 50th Anniversary Celebration

Gotta have some place to use the recycled plastic. That's why the label is red; so they can use any colored plastic. At least the budwiser ones I've seen are aluminum. Very cool how they're spinning aluminum now-a-days to create these shapes.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

You can. But, you'll need to purchase an ILL for it. Check with @drizgirl... But, I believe it's only $20. Or, you can wait in the standby line. Looks like it's about 28 hours long right now...

News Primeval Whirl, Stitch's Great Escape and Rivers of Light permanently closed

And to think that this ride is a "duplicate" of the Indiana Jones ride at DLR! I think our family likes Dino better than you you. But, I never got the level of detail that's supposedly here that's at the same level as Indy. The queue is great. The ride? Not so much.
