It's possible. I'd guess more so for schools with already developed online programs than schools like mine. Ironically, I was just admitted yesterday to a one year post-grad certificate program in Tourism & Hospitality Management. It's what I'd actually like to do for work, I just sort of fell...
Can confirm! I manage our school's Peer Tutoring program (among other things) and we made a quick transition to online tutoring when our classes went online. It isn't ideal at all. The feedback we get from students is that they're struggling and can't wait to be back on campus. Will that happen...
National parks would be okay in some spots, especially the smaller ones. Places like Yellowstone? Not so much. Once you get into the interior it isn't crowded but otherwise it is. I worked a summer at the Old Faithful Inn. The viewing area for the geyser is just as crowded as Disney on any given...
Sure, there will always be those who want online programs and they work well for certain things. I don't think you'll see them replace in person instruction though. You lose a lot when not in class. They are also best suited for a strong, self-motivated student who can get things done without...
I work at a college in Academic Services. So far, I think everyone is planning to be back on campus. That doesn't mean things can't change. There have definitely been "what if" conversations among our staff regarding the fall. At this point and time, all we can do is stay inside and be hopeful...
I couldn't find any evidence of this. I work at a public college in Michigan and the most I've seen here are the quiet rumblings of "what if" we can't have in person classes in the fall. I think it's a fear and definitely something those of us who work in Higher Ed. should be considering but I...
I have one for November that we're planning to cancel. Even if it goes and I don't have work restrictions, I just don't see wanting to get on a cruise ship that soon. Definitely disappointing though as it was to be our first cruise and on the Disney Dream. Booked a room at AS Music instead but...
I'm planning to book ours for November once Southwest releases the schedule out far enough. We'll be booking with points and travel funds though, so not a lot to lose there if we have to reschedule again.
I doubt it. I think a June re-opening is the absolute best case scenario and I don't see us getting that. I have a trip in November that I'm somewhat concerned about.
Hard to say exactly but it should be this year. We had May 2-9 booked, which we're assuming will be canceled. We had a few days and our first Disney Cruise booked for November (we may postpone the cruise though even if DCL is back up and running), so I'm thinking November for sure? Rescheduling...
We're about there ourselves. Looking at re-booking for January of 2021 as hopefully that is far enough out to be past all of this. Don't really want to go in the heat of the summer and have other plans for the fall. I'm disappointed obviously but it is what is. Thankful my family is in a pretty...
Someone in one of the Facebook groups I'm in appears to have gotten a refund.
Our trip wasn't until May 2-9, so waiting for what I'm sure will be an extension of the closure before we can do anything. We have regular park tickets and one Disney After Hours ticket through UT.
Just booked a backup reservation for May 30-June 6. Very much so doubt our May 2-9 trip will happen. Not even sure these new dates will work but figured we'd take the chance.
Not quite ready to fully cancel the first one but I'm getting there...
Yep. We're also on Southwest and super thankful for it at this moment and time! Their flexibility definitely lets us wait and see more so than another airline. We purchased our park tickets from Undercover Tourist so no refund but I know we can move the dates. Only thing I think we'd actually...
We're booked for May 1st-9th. Still planning on going but feeling pretty uneasy about it, honestly. There are just so many unknowns! We likely won't decide until the week before, if we end up needing to decide. We also have our first Disney Cruise booked in November but hopefully things will be...
No idea if this is due to all of this but I was pricing out 3/29-4/4 of this year to use as an estimate for that same week next year (taking a group of 9-10 people) and every single All Star has rooms available the entire time. The last time I looked I couldn't get any of them for the entire...
I voted SSE over Rise (with Everest and Splash) but that's partially because I haven't been on Rise yet. That said, SSE is my favorite classic attraction and I think it'd be hard to overcome the nostalgia. We'll see come May, I suppose! :)
Yeah, prices for our 5 day tickets in May are higher now (at least if my notes are right). I was planning to order this month when our tax refund hit but just got them this morning through Undercover Tourist as the price was still the same there.
My weirdest line experience was actually at MCO last spring! We (Mom, sister, and I) were on our way home after the Star Wars Rival Run weekend. Security was super backed up (the one time we were actually thankful to be dropped by the ME so early) and we were in the furthest left line of the...
We purchased Disney ponchos in 2015 (had to make it from Imagination to the Japan pavilion for a dining res in the middle of a downpour) and they lasted us until this fall (over multiple, week long trips). I'd say they're well worth their price!
