Will UOR be better than WDW?

I will say I was really impressed with Disneyland. I went for the first time in 2014 and again last year. It's just got a different feel. It doesn't diminish my love for WDW but I definitely want to go back. Especially with the return of the Paint the Night parade!

Will UOR be better than WDW?

I'd be willing to consider going in the future if they add enough. Right now, it just isn't there. Even as much as I love Harry Potter, it'd be nice to have another land to enjoy. It's why I think Nintendo coming to Universal could be really interesting. That plus HP would likely get me to visit...

Will UOR be better than WDW?

I really do want to see Diagon Alley. I've heard nothing but good things. Even just seeing that is $240 for the two of us compared to our $40 6th day at Disney. I can see what you say about Springfield but as someone who doesn't watch The Simpsons, the quality is lost on me. I'd be game for a...

Will UOR be better than WDW?

The fact that Disney and Universal compete is great to guests of both parks. To say whether UOR will ever be better than WDW? I think it's completely subjective. I was last at a Universal park in 2011. We went to IoA specifically to see Harry Potter. I'll give credit it where it is due, as a...

Are value resorts tacky and poll: Which Value Resort is the best?

In a lot of ways AOA probably is nicer. I think Pop wins out because it's actually all value rooms, not suites. I looked at AOA for a long time but the Little Mermaid just isn't my favorite and other suites weren't in my price range. I'd love to stay in a Lion King suite someday though! Glad I...

Are value resorts tacky and poll: Which Value Resort is the best?

As of right now, the values only have buses. There is a Skyliner stop being constructed on the bridge between Pop Century and Art of Animation though.

Are value resorts tacky and poll: Which Value Resort is the best?

I've only stayed at one value- All Star Movies. I really enjoyed it. It was a short trip I took with my boyfriend (now fiance) while we were living in Florida. I think we stayed in the Fantasia section. My only complaint was that the AC didn't cool the room enough. We are staying at Pop in...

    Bye bye Mickey soaps?

They are locked and you need a key to open them. We used the wall dispensers at the last hotel I worked at. You could break the whole thing off the wall and the cap will still be locked. Also guests call was less frequently for shampoo/conditioner/body wash refills. I think it's great!

60 Day Fastpass Window for Offsite Hotels

I used to only stay offsite but can now manage to stay at value resorts when we come. This change won't stop me from staying onsite (we use the ME and the bus system) but it definitely irritates me a bit. My FP+ booking opens November 19th. I'm hoping they don't put this in place before then-...

4 Walt Disney World Resorts to accept dogs

Absolutely agree. That's why we had our policy set the way we did- we never wanted to cause trouble for a person with an actual service animal. I know it means we let folks who lied stay but I'd rather that than causing harm to someone who needs their animal. The process could definitely be...

4 Walt Disney World Resorts to accept dogs

I agree with what you say about service animals. I used to manage a front desk at a large national park hotel and it is a problem. I find that small dogs are the ones most often lied about but it's hard because small dogs can be service animals, it just isn't as common. My company's policy was...

4 Walt Disney World Resorts to accept dogs

I don't quite see the logic in this though. If they are already abusing the system and saying they have a service dog- how does this change that? I'm genuinely curious here. I think if they were going to abuse it, they probably already are and the option to pay more money per night to follow the...

4 Walt Disney World Resorts to accept dogs

This is so cute! Yes! Dogs give off so many warning signs and I would venture a guess that true "out of nowhere" bites are extremely rare. It is one of many reasons I wouldn't bring my dogs. My younger one is a Golden and he would be fine with new people. My older one is a Shiba Inu mix who...

4 Walt Disney World Resorts to accept dogs

That doesn't mean they will go inside. Some dogs may have a problem with that but most know not to go inside and make it through 8+ hour days while people work. It's not ideal and I think it would be smart of Disney to add some sort of dog walking option but it is quite possible. My dogs both...

4 Walt Disney World Resorts to accept dogs

I just really don't think this is going to be used enough to warrant the reaction it is getting. I have no kids and never intend to. My fiance and I travel together frequently. We have two dogs that we are fairly obsessed with. We will also not every be bringing them to Disney World. First, I...

    Pre-Trip Our Pop Century Honeymoon!

Way more fun! I'm actually planning a trip for my parents and sister too (January 7th-13th) and I feel like I check every single day for ROL! They missed it by like two weeks last year and want a dining package for it. Hopefully someday they release that information...:) It would be so...

    Poly vs Contemporary.

They don't allow pool hopping between resorts. The exceptions being guests at the Port Orleans resorts can use either French Quarter or Riverside and the guests at the All Star resorts can hop pools around those resorts. Unless this has changed recently and then someone can correct me.

    Pre-Trip Our Pop Century Honeymoon!

I don't know how I missed this but thank you! I'm planning to to a trip report so I have something to obsess over while waiting to plan our anniversary trip next year (hopefully during MNSSHP and Food & Wine)! Plus I love reading reports from other people, so why not? :) I'm looking forward to...
