What the heck are some people wearing?

The boomers are the ones being laughed at because they have dockers pulled up to mid chest and wingtips on for strolling around the park, with flat caps and a full sleeve button down. It's my generation, the X ers who seem to be the beginning of the issue, and the one immediately following us...

Rumor Brazil (and maybe others) Pavilion Coming to Epcot [not about Brazilian people nor a country wish list]

Didn't that stage go up as temporary for one of the festivals and just never leave, anyway?

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner -

What would CMs paying attention have to do with the ceiling? Far as I can tell, the CMS will be handling load unload and directing people to the correct destination. Any car switching, etc, would be controlled, and possibly done, behind the scenes.

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner -

Probably pretty much like they do in Brazil and at Whistler.

What the heck are some people wearing?

WallE was not science fiction. Yeah, as I said in a post above.. we've just lost any level of respect for people around us and it's all "me me me" it seems. I see people out in workout gear or sweats or pajamas all the time, and it just screams a complete lack of respect for anyone else. I mean...

What the heck are some people wearing?

Yeah, it's not a one to one relationship, and i'm not implying all people who are of a low income are a problem, but the stereotype exists for a reason, and some people are only too happy to bring it to life.

Disney hotels are becomes less themed and more generic. Why?

That's the new chic design ethic in a lot of hotels though. Disney takes it's cue from international chains when they are doing a bog standard (non themed to the gills) look. In 20 years, it will look just as dated as the Contemporary does now, but it is what it is. Spartan lines, muted colors...

What the heck are some people wearing?

As a neon sneaker guy, I can only wear a couple of brands comfortably for my foot shape and specific foot issues, and those are all higher end running shoes, and they only COME in neon right now. Considering some of the shirts and stuff I've seen at the park, what color someone's shoes are is...

What the heck are some people wearing?

And it's more than just Disney. People used to dress decently to travel, too.. now you see pajamas and flip flops on airplanes. I take a lot of heat, everywhere, when I say this: But I blame the budget resorts. (Realizing that's not the total of the issues, there are certainly places to stay...

News Spaceship Earth Refurb - 2 Year Closure

I wonder if this is a Pirates type deal, where we will see what happened with the ride influence the as yet to be made films.

News Spaceship Earth Refurb - 2 Year Closure

It would be Olaf in that case.. trading off with LeFou.

Disney hotels are becomes less themed and more generic. Why?

Because it's a huge energy waster, and requires someone to keep an eye on the guests at all times. As a ride it's great. As an actual transportation system it would likely be a nightmare. As to the meta, I think Disney is intentionally making more of a distinction between it's resort levels...

News Disney and Fox come to terms -- announcement soon; huge IP acquisition

It's a pretty straightforward contract, and doesn't really have an "out" unless Universal fails to keep their rides/IPs open per the contract. It has no sunset, and it's a "forever" type deal. Disney doesn't really HAVE any leverage to throw that into the pot when negotiating, unfortunately...

News Disney and Fox come to terms -- announcement soon; huge IP acquisition

As far as I know, TDO has rights to much of the Guardians MCU characters, _except_ Drax, who was an avenger related character in the comics. This is why you got a Star Lord and Gamora dance party in Epcot, for example (I think it was Epcot?) but no Drax, and why Rocket, Groot, etc are on the...

Rumor Stitch's Great Escape Replacement— Don’t Hold Your Breath

I wonder if those things that pass into employee hands come with strings.. like "You can't resell this or regift it".

Epcot still not getting the love it needs?

There's a bit of a difference between the cold war and what's currently going on in Brazil. Like, most people aren't even aware of what's going on in Brazil. Also, the CCCP wasn't much of a tourist draw. Heck, Russia _still_ isn't much of a tourist draw to WDW. Brazil, on the other hand, is a...

Rumor Stitch's Great Escape Replacement— Don’t Hold Your Breath

There are some that have been sold.. (the food rocks ones, for example), but most of them end up either in storage, repurposed, or torn down for parts. These days, I think it would be very rare to see anything make it into private hands, as they seem to have gotten much tighter with not selling...

Epcot still not getting the love it needs?

Oh come on. The pavilions have always been about the culture and people, not about whatever government happens to be in power at the time. At the risk of venturing into the political, Mexico and China have some skeletons in their closets over the years, as well as some governmental issues.. that...

Were the lines really shorter back in the day or do we imagine this?

Think of the savings.. they don't have to pay CMs to staff the routes to all the rides at the back of the parks at rope drop, to tell the fastest member of your family with a fist full of park tickets to stop running. ;)

Rumor Stitch's Great Escape Replacement— Don’t Hold Your Breath

Yeah, stitch did the same. So there were definitely two show animatronics of Stitch, one of everyone else.
