I have a feeling this is WDW Operations ASKING for something to replace the river. They don't like operating it, they don't like that it's connected to the outer water system. And the want something to expand capacity without expanding the walking distance.

Well, he’s saying the right things. I just think language like that should be reserved for BIG things, like Third Park for DL or Brazil Disneyland. Unfortunately it could just be nice-but-meh stuff like Coco behind Big Thunder.

There’s not much smoke other than Frederick Chambers comment below. (He’s the CM of “Ya know, they could add PatF to Splash Mountain” fame. We’ll never know for sure if that statement gave Disney the idea or if it was truly in the works for a while.)
