PHOTOS - Disney reveals new lobby design and Trader Sam's lounge for the Polynesian

I think they use high tables with limited numbers of chairs outside for a reason. Inside is generally dark and very very crowded, even in middle of the day. Honestly, it's much more "bar" than it is "attraction". I wasn't really expecting that at all the first time I went. Non-drinkers probably...

PHOTOS - Disney reveals new lobby design and Trader Sam's lounge for the Polynesian

Ya know, In the 5 times i've been there, I've never seen a family of 4 or 5 sitting at Trader Sam's at Disneyland Hotel.

DHS Soundstage 1 Renovation - Toy Storia Mania expansion

While I certainly agree that HS needs more things to do, I think the 3rd track is the right move for the moment. I don't think Mater's junkyard jamboree is the reason DCA's TSM has shorter lines. You're certainly not "losing" anything but adding capacity to TSM. I know that to a lot of people...

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

My first morning in DL, I thought it was amazing. I said "man, WDW should be more like this". 14 hours later when every pathway was blocked off by ropes, the hub was saturated with people, and half of fantasyland was closed for fireworks, I decided that there are definite cons to their...

    Direct to Room Check-In coming?

Not too be overly on topic... but... Has anyone gotten to experience this yet? Around what times are people getting room assignments?

Soarin' Expansion and new Soarin' Around the World film

and let's not forget that the distance between space mountain in DL and soarin in DCA is geographically shorter than the distance between mission space and the land pavilion. You can efficiently do a LOT of park hopping at DLR. I always enjoy the fun of having a pocket full of fastpasses

    Direct to Room Check-In coming?

AP-holders and on-site guests don't have to pay anything extra to park. I'd assume that covers a pretty significant proportion of the people at WDW on any given day. And before you retort with "but that price is already included in your pass/hotel cost" the same way everyone does when DME comes...

Universal Orlando Getting Bigger, Better, Wetter, Wilder

There's a mini Iron Man exhibit in Innoventions at Disneyland California's Tomorrowland... at least there was when I was there last fall.

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

Absolutely not. It's not real grass. They can vacuum it/wash it as necessary. A place to sit around and just enjoy downtime is something that's seriously missing from a lot of US theme parks. Giving the hub an actual "park" may be my favorite add-on to WDW in the last 10 years. Selfishly, it...

Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

And when DCA was built, Carthay Circle didn't exist. Pretty much every piece of DCA merchandise since the "relaunch" features carthay circle as the icon.

Disney confirms 'Frozen' makeover coming to Epcot's Norway Pavilion

I think once Frozen-mania is over, we'll look back and not really be bothered by Frozen at Norway. It took a quarter century for the little mermaid to make its way into Magic Kingdom. I think i'd be equally offended if Frozen joined the elite ranks of making it into fantasyland a year after it's...

Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

What if they cleared all that room in the poly lobby.... to fit this hat!

Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

I would have been significantly more excited about this if I hadn't just seen Annabelle at the actual chinese theater 2 weeks ago. It's less exciting when you realize the chinese theater is just a regular old movie theater these days and not the icon we East Coasters/WDWFans dream it up to be!

Studio Backlot Tour Closing on September 27, 2014

I've been lurking here for a while and have never posted, but I wanted to add my 2 cents on bringing Cars Land/RSR to WDW. I finally made the pilgrimage to DLR a few weeks ago, and RSR is much more similar to Test Track than I expected. The southwestern rock pattern backdrop works well at DCA...
