Disneyland and Disney World lay off 28,000 employees amid pandemic struggles - OCR/SCNG

Well what she was thinking is that is in the wheelhouse of one of her main talking points. :) Generally speaking corporate buybacks are an issue that needs to be addressed IMO. While we focus on Disney here, Warren isn't picking on them. She would and does say that about any company that...

Disneyland and Disney World lay off 28,000 employees amid pandemic struggles - OCR/SCNG

Regarding Senator Warren's comments, the executive pay was not the main point of criticism. The biggest issue is the stock buybacks. In fiscal year 2016 alone Disney spent 7.5 billion dollars on stock buybacks. Disney also pays a good dividend which some including large stakeholders in the...

With your reputation for making stuff up, we're going to need some sort of proof this is taking place. Especially when this report it already out there. https://www.thedailybeast.com/workers-reveal-disney-is-covering-up-its-covid-cases

Politics OC Register - Disneyland and Universal Studios ask Newsom not to finalize theme park reopening plans just yet

Regarding point #2, Florida has rampant reports of hiding the true Covid case numbers. Florida often doesn't report their daily numbers including cases, deaths and hospitalizations. The state has been fighting what constitutes a Covid death, which is leading to undercounts of death totals...

Politics OC Register - Disneyland and Universal Studios ask Newsom not to finalize theme park reopening plans just yet

I know people are skeptical of the numbers I have a lot of friends and contacts over there from my time living there. The numbers are pretty accurate currently. At the beginning? Not so much, but now the economy is back up. They would not be able to hide it, if the case numbers were higher...

Politics OC Register - Disneyland and Universal Studios ask Newsom not to finalize theme park reopening plans just yet

I preface this by saying that I do think the state should work with the theme parks more than they have and find common ground on reopening. Scientifically impossible? Hong Kong has a population more than twice that of Orange County and much denser that OC. They had 18 cases yesterday...

    Disneyland To Open Sept. 16th?

Under the rumored guidelines Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Shanghai Disney would be open. Paris, WDW, and Disneyland would be closed. So it is feasible. I believe they should revisit the guidelines and do what they can to get people back to work ASAP. However, IMO some posters should slow down on the...

Politics Disneyland Closure: Another six months?

Vietnam borders China and has a population of 100 million. How many deaths have they had to date of the virus. 0. Why? Strict protocols and universal mask wearing once the virus was detected. I was in Asia during January and February. Mask wearing was no where near 50% let alone 100% in...

Angels tell Anaheim they're opting out of their lease on Angel Stadium

Arte has certainly made his fair share of screwups. He needs to stay out of the baseball decisions.

Angels tell Anaheim they're opting out of their lease on Angel Stadium

No they aren't. I was mocking someone else calling them an iconic team. They have the best player in baseball and his q rating (recognizable factor) is awful. That wouldn't be the case if he played for an iconic team, or even a decent team. The Angels sit near the bottom of the standings.

    Disneyland To Open Sept. 16th?

In many cases they are treating counties differently however as we have found when restrictions ease in one area, people swarm to that area and potentially bring the virus with them. For example, let's say Orange County decides to open Disneyland and Knotts due to low case and hospitalization...

    Disneyland To Open Sept. 16th?

Why Disneyland’s $1 billion Star Wars land isn’t a bust despite flat attendance - OCR/SCNG

Not who you tagged, but I'll provide my own answer as some one who really likes SWGE. I will tread lightly as I was previously called names and insulted in the past for saying nothing more than I really like GE. It is extremely well done IMO. It is not perfect. Smugglers Run is a...

News Disneyland Resort in California plans to begin phased reopening July 9

I buy a lot of groceries and other essentials at Target. I agree there are gray areas on what is open and what is closed right now. Part of that was this was supposed to to be manageable by now. Some places slowly reopened and simply didn't close again when cases spiked. Another big issue...

News Disneyland Resort in California plans to begin phased reopening July 9

You answered your own question when you said grocery stores are essential. If people could survive without groceries then they would be closed like other non essential services. Putting a place like Target or Ralph's in the same category as a theme park is disingenuous. Personally I would put...
