Rumor D23 2024 WDW Rumors, Predictions & Discussion

If the earnings report is bad (which it probably is given light attendance) then I expect projects to be canceled.

Rumor D23 2024 WDW Rumors, Predictions & Discussion

It won’t matter if the economy grinds to a halt. They can’t keep interests rates low for long (if at all) with $35 trillion in debt.

Rumor D23 2024 WDW Rumors, Predictions & Discussion

Another factor I think we are overlooking is the economy. It’s definitely slowing down and I wouldn’t be surprised if that leads to projects getting cut.

News The Walt Disney Company Board of Directors Extends Robert A. Iger’s Contract as CEO Through 2026

That’s true but I think it’s why we need to educate people more. Your average American is the owner of TWDC and every other stock in the S&P. We need to get more involved in the management of the companies we own. Look at Berkshire Hathaway. They have a unique investor base between WB and all...

Avengers Campus: Food, Entertainment, M&G, Environment Updates

It’s disgusting that Disney would allow this into their parks. Walt wanted a place that was fun for the whole family. Where he could bring his daughter for a fun time together. Adult jokes like that are not wholesome or family fun in any way. It should immediately be removed and Disney should...

Rumor D23 2024 WDW Rumors, Predictions & Discussion

Honestly all this stuff about the Disney Destiny are announcements that I would expect from the parks panel.

News The Walt Disney Company Board of Directors Extends Robert A. Iger’s Contract as CEO Through 2026

You’re conflating all shareholders as the same. The shareholders who are investors interested long term in the company very much care about how the park experience is. The shareholders with a shorter time horizon don’t. That’s why the most successful companies are the ones with long term and...

News The Walt Disney Company Board of Directors Extends Robert A. Iger’s Contract as CEO Through 2026

Delivering on a positive guest experience and positive stock market returns are NOT mutually exclusive. The danger is when ownership becomes inactive and fails to keep management accountable.

IIRC it took them a while to fix FEA too. Within a couple months they’ll fine tune it.

FEA is a very apt comparison. Both rides are enjoyable but had rough openings and are objectively not as good as what they replaced.

Rumor What is everyone’s confidence level that a Villain’s land will happen?

Idk, I love the AA (one of the best attractions at WDW), Rat, 3 Cabs, LwtL, SSE, GotG, and I enjoy Frozen. That alone is more interesting than most other parks. It also has a ton of entertainment acts and great fireworks. This is despite Disney doing their worst to manage the park.

Rumor What is everyone’s confidence level that a Villain’s land will happen?

I disagree, Epcot has a deceptively deep attraction roster. Well over 20 things when you include shows (e.g., AA). If you have never been to Epcot or haven’t been in a long time, it could easily take a day and a half to explore.

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

Sinbad is more Arabian. While Morocco has Arabic culture, it is different. Sinbad though is one of Disney’s best rides. Would love to see them build it in Adventureland.
