Haven't seen this posted yet, but in today's update of "What the hell is Disney thinking?", it was announced that the former Trout Pass bar by the main pool is to be converted into a hair salon.

Ridiculous. And add me to the list that hates the look of the rooms. I'll take Boulder Ridge anyday.

Am I reading that the Cabins are 700 points a week compared to the Poly bungalows being around 1,200?

Obviously the Cabins are on the water. In regards to Copper Creek Studios and Villas, are they all converted rooms from the Lodge main building? Are there any located in Boulder Creek, or is that all the original VWL? Lastly, if CCV are all in the main building, how many rooms did the Lodge lose?

We did it once. It was OK, but not worth $100 more per night. Decent size lounge. Food was OK, but nothing I'd want to make a whole meal out of.

Though WL is my favorite resort, with the construction going on, I would choose Boardwalk. Stayed there twice and loved it. Plus, in my opinion, a standard room always beats a studio. I'd much rather have 2 beds than 1 bed and a sofa bed. ETA: Just saw you'll be spending 3 days at Magic...

Smallest studios of the monorail resorts. No theme. 1 bathroom. Poly and GF have 2.

I would love to see pictures of the former Tahiti beach. Unfortunately, we rented points and there is no availability at the Grand Floridian Villas. I'm almost considering a Bay Lake Tower studio.

Just found this out. Wow. A resort themed to the South Seas and Hawaii with no hammocks on the beach. That was one of my favorite things to do at the Polynesian. Lie between 2 palm trees on the beach. Why was it necessary to remove them?

Jimmy Neutron wasn't nearly as popular as Despicable Me. I don't see it going anywhere soon. Decades, no way.

We have a studio booked in July with DVC points. If it was available, any chance they would let us stay in a standard, non-DVC room instead? The studio, cash wise, is actually a bit more expensive but we much prefer the look and set up of the standard rooms.

Well, problem solved. Was able to rent points for $11 each, and now we're staying at the Polynesian in a studio!

I found the theming at Riverside to be among the best at any Disney resort. Loved the food court, pools, bars, gift shop, grounds and room. Does Bonnet Creek have the $25 resort fee? That would add up. I love the extra room we'd get and the pool looks very nice. However, I prefer not to drive on...

Just curious to hear people's opinions. There are two adults, one teenager, and twin 10 year olds. Would you do one room at Riverside, or a two-bedroom Villa at Wyndham Bonnet Creek if price was the same? My biggest concern is that I love the Disney atmosphere so I want to stay at Riverside, but...

I agree about the masks at FQ. Completely freaky. No word of lies, it's a major reason I won't stay there. I prefer the main pool, food court, gift shop, rooms and lounge at Riverside.
