DVC - Jambo House vs Kidani Village

Agree we prefer Kidani for many reasons including one it being more quiet. We go next door to Jambo almost every day too so I can see the lobby then lol. We love Kidani and Jambo is nice too, but for us Kidani has an edge. Love finding quiet nooks to relax like the almost hidden room to the...

    Dinner at BOG

I had both over the years and actually liked the pasta version better. Both were delicious don’t get me wrong, but pasta had an edge for me. Can’t wait to try the new menu also. Didn’t have many scallops in bread version either when I’ve had it...both dishes were mostly shrimp and a Good...

    Dinner at BOG

Everyone pays the set price that is on the reservation now, and has to order off of the pre fixe menu so no you cannot just pay for individual items like only apps or deserts etc. :)

    Cirque's La Nouba Closing?

No Cirque even stated themselves they are making an all new show so doubt they will put an existing show there after making that statement. :)

    Cirque's La Nouba Closing?

Cirque is indeed still working on a brand new exclusive show collaborating with Disney that will feature Disney Animation last I heard. Cirque shows take a long time to create, then train performers, and remodel venue to specs needed for the new resident show. If I would guess I think it won’t...

    Upset with Moonlight Magic

Even if booking window was moved to another time it would cause issues for others. People work all hours whether overnight shift, late shift, Normal day shift, early morning shift etc etc. No way to have a booking time that works for Everyone. This was always the booking time for the past MM...

    Breakfast in Animal Kingdom Lodge?

Sanaa at Kidani serves a quick service breakfast menu in the morning. No ressies needed works like a normal Quick Service at breakfast. And The Mara next door at Jambo House has breakfast too at that Quick service location. ;)

    Dinner on Arrival Evening

I would do the 7:05pm. The 5:15pm would be cutting it way too close for comfort. Delays happen so even though you are staying at GF as well I would do 7:05pm no earlier. ;)

    Confused on FP Day?

You always put the day you arrive/Check in to your resort for any countdowns. Resort Check in day is the date that counts. ;)

    Alcohol on Dining Plan

Weird how some folks have been able to get One and some not. Can’t hurt to ask. Hopefully they allow it as I know they have before. You just never know rules change all the time. Lol ;)

    Confused on FP Day?

When you plan to use them has nothing to do with fast pass booking date. Only thing that determines your fast pass booking date is your resort Check in date which is 10/20 so will be 60 days prior your window for booking opens. You can book fast passes always 60 days prior to your resort Check...

    Confused on FP Day?

I arrive on 10/13 and our day to book fast passes was Tuesday 8/14...so your day will indeed be Tuesday 8/21 for arrival of 10/20. ;)

    Alcohol on Dining Plan

They actually let you get a Lapu Lapu with the dining plan as your alcohol beverage, but they put it in a regular glass instead of a pineapple being you get it with dining plan entitlement. Maybe your sever did not know. Know many who have gotten one there with the plan. ;)

    MNSSHP or Sanaa?

Sorry yes it’s not exact, but It is not much different though we usually do lunch too. A few items are different but all the faves of most are at both meals. The items me and the hubby usually get are at both meals. But yes slightly different. ;)

    MNSSHP or Sanaa?

Easy do both! Do a late lunch at Sanaa like anytime between 2-3:30pm. The menu is the same at lunch plus you can see the animals. Then head to MNSSHP after. You can get in at 4pm with party ticket (or 2pm if DVC Member). ;)

    Which resorts allow dogs?

*****Correction it is now becoming a permanent program and is NOT ending per an article from another reputable source on 7/31/18. ***** :)

    Which resorts allow dogs?

Yes it’s true, but service dogs of course are still always allowed at all resorts. So no resort is ever totally dog free. Not many used this new service anyway as to why it likely got discontinued. ;)

Unlocking Guest Rooms With Smart Phone - Gimmicky? Or Useful...

Not gimmicky being many hotels offer this and have for a few years now at least at Hilton Brand properties we stayed at like Hilton, Doubletree, and Waldorf Astoria. Had this option at another too can’t remember where. You don’t have to use it and can use card key or the phone. So Disney will...
