How Many Days Until Your Next Disney Cruise???

221 until we board the Fantasy for one of the Star Wars cruises!

Orlando or Port Canaveral hotel the night before cruise

Hyatt at the airport has always been solid for us. Sometimes we'll spring for a room at the All-Star, which honestly isn't too expensive for one night in the off season, just to feel like we're on vacation right away, then catch the bus to the Port in the morning.

‘“Tangled: The Musical,” premiering onboard the Disney Magic in November 2015

This was the show I auditioned for at the end of last year...made it to callbacks but sadly fell short. Cool to see it coming together and getting ready for audiences.

    unable to dock

It was a HUGE bummer. But they did a great job on the ship of adding a lot of cool activities. They turned out new PersNavs in like 45 minutes. They're just the best.

    unable to dock

Happened to us on our very first cruise in 2011 on the Dream....currents kept us from docking at CC. A quarterback with a good arm could probably have gotten a football onto the dock...we were that close. But it wasn't to be. Had an impromptu at sea day.

    Auditioning for Disney Cruise Line

Doesn't look like I got lucky this time around. Oh well. The process of going for this was a real blast. I'm a delaware theater Guy, so getting to audition in front of the Disney cruise people was such a great experience. Can't wait to go on my next cruise and see who I recognize from auditions...

    Auditioning for Disney Cruise Line

Oh, I will come here to post any result from this Thursday. It's also going to be my last audition for Disney. My wife has had the patience of a saint in letting me pursue this, but I'm not just going to go for it indefinitely. Especially now that I'm 35.

    Auditioning for Disney Cruise Line

With the next auditions coming up, I emailed the Disney Auditions people to check if I was good to go for those, and what the status might be for the Magic auditions. They emailed back and said that casting was still going on for the next few weeks, but that I could also audition for the...

    Auditioning for Disney Cruise Line

Nope, haven't heard anything yet. There is, however, one more audition coming up on December 4, looking for a Buzz Lightyear, Hades, and Dr. Greenaway (for either the Dream or the Fantasy, so this isn't the Magic job that I've already auditioned for). It seems to be a last minute thing...

    Auditioning for Disney Cruise Line

Thanks...not ready to give up hope yet. Okay, that's not true, I'm totally ready to abandon all hope. I'm a mess of emotions here. :)

    Auditioning for Disney Cruise Line

Ugh, great, more reason to be nervous, if calls are already starting to go out. Still have my fingers crossed, but the fact that my phone hasn't rung yet makes me nervous. I'd been feeling pretty confident, but it's fading now.

    Auditioning for Disney Cruise Line

I'm kind of operating under the assumption that if you were called back, you'll hear yes or no. Seems logical to me that they'd extend that courtesy to the people who they asked to see again. I'm not basing that on anything I know, but rather guessing based on how other theaters I've worked...

    Auditioning for Disney Cruise Line

Hey, @AnxiousAllie! No news yet, but truth be told, I wouldn't stress...I did some digging around on the interwebs, finding any info I could, and it looks like sometimes there's a bit of a wait in hearing. One article I found mentioned a girl who was cast on the Fantasy, and only found out a...

    Auditioning for Disney Cruise Line

Nope, no dancing again for me (although I'd practiced the routine from the audition just in case). Guess they didn't need it for the characters I was reading for. But I can't say if other people might have had to dance or not. And I'm with your friend. Pins and needles here.

    Auditioning for Disney Cruise Line

It went pretty well. Either they genuinely liked what I was doing, because they were smiling and laughing, or they're all pretty good actors. :) It was two tables with 4 people total from the production team, plus one piano player. In addition to the bit from Villains Tonight and Tangled they...

    Auditioning for Disney Cruise Line

Thanks! You know I hadn't actually considered that I might not find out yay or nay at the callback. I don't know how much longer I can take the stress! Hopefully, if they've already had Chicago callbacks, maybe the New York ones are last and we'll all know soon one way or another. Best wishes...

    Auditioning for Disney Cruise Line

Even if the time to actually get off the ship is minimal, just being able to see so much of Europe just from the ship would be something special. I've never been to Europe, and I know how expensive travel can get. Even if over 5 months I only got the equivalent of a week or two, that's still...

Disney Cruise Line Character Performer Audition

Sorry, I think I had a little typo there, plus what I meant was a new company as in troupe of performers. Like a company of actors. It's for Disney, on the Magic. You can see the other thread I just started for more information. :)

    Auditioning for Disney Cruise Line

So I tagged a comment onto an old thread about this, but figured a new thread might catch a few more eyes. Anyway, for those of you who follow this sort of thing obsessively (like me), they're putting together a new cast for the Disney Magic for next years cruises, including (based on what they...

Disney Cruise Line Character Performer Audition

I was digging around for a thread like this. I've actually got a callback coming up on November 10th a new company they're putting together for next year. I'm pretty excited, thrilled, terrified, and about a thousand other emotions.
