    Predictions! Secret WDC Project — August 22 @ D23

Not at all. The idea is that the vessel would contain a small theme park including various rides/shops/shows and remain docked at a particular place for a couple months before relocating. Because people would just be paying for a one day experience it would serve a completely different market...

    Predictions! Secret WDC Project — August 22 @ D23

If we're just wildly speculating here, what about that old concept of building a floating, traveling theme park on an oil tanker and taking it to markets that will never have a permanent Disney park?

    Predictions! Secret WDC Project — August 22 @ D23

The Japanese market for Disney parks is far from saturated, but then that's OLC's call.

    News Dismal Q3 Earnings

That's the big one. The fact that the big headliner attraction still isn't ready yet was unfortunate for Disney's marketing schedule but this is the single biggest problem for that land. It's not the new movies or their politics, it's not the lack of Mark Hamill look-a-likes posing for guests...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

One of the more interesting tidbits to come out of last week's press conference was that Universal would be contributing $160 million to reroute and expand Kirkman and the other roads. To me that means dedicated bus lanes with controlled access overpasses and no lights.

News Primeval Whirl at Disney's Animal Kingdom experiencing extended downtime

"Dinosaur"/CTX is the worst existing use of its ride hardware and people assume it would be easy and cheap for Disney to swap the theme of the Florida version to Forbidden Eye, but I agree that there is absolutely no way that this would be a thematically viable change for the park.

News Primeval Whirl at Disney's Animal Kingdom experiencing extended downtime

That's such a horrifying thought- that "Superstar Limo" failed because American society had not yet become celebrity-obsessed enough. It was ahead of its time.

I want a bad-on-purpose WDI darkride so bad it hurts.

News Primeval Whirl at Disney's Animal Kingdom experiencing extended downtime

Does anyone have the address to his house and some Inception gear I could borrow? I need to make him want to build Excavator but he needs to think it was his own idea.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

Maybe I'm just a pro-coaster snob, but in my book, every ride B&M has ever built deserves to be called an E-ticket.

Jurassic Park Rollercoaster Coming To Universals Islands Of Adventure?

Does anyone know if there's any truth to the rumors that the Jurassic Park --> Jurassic World IP changeover is due to to some sort of licensing agreement with the Crichton Estate running out? I can't imagine a court not seeing Jurassic World as a derivative work from the original novel and...

Jurassic Park: The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood to be re-themed to Jurassic World.... What does this mean for Orlando?

Could you see the tank background behind the "crack"? Did the crack appear to be floating in front of it or was it just part of the image?

OK, I'll Admit it...Disney Prices Are Out Of Control

I can understand your frustration with the price hikes but that's utterly absurd. Just for starters, how do you explain the continued existence of the DVC?

Jurassic Park: The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood to be re-themed to Jurassic World.... What does this mean for Orlando?

Did Universal use any kind of interesting tech for the tank projection? Dual-layered screens to sell the "crack", perhaps?

Busch Gardens VA / Been? Haven't? Post Here :)

Saw it last summer and wouldn't call it a rip off but I wasn't blown away, either. It seemed like all the good stuff involving reenactors had to be booked up as special tours months in advance, and I was surprised how many of the historical recreation buildings turned out to be glorified gift...

Jurassic Park Rollercoaster Coming To Universals Islands Of Adventure?

And I, for one, couldn't be happier. I'm curious, though, what sort of layout this ride will have. The pervasive noise issue with the high school across the street is part of the reason the Dragons had to go, but the 4-bar Intamin track suggests a very fast, forceful ride that gains significant...

Advice on GoPro or the likes

I'm a huge fan of the SooCoo C30, and use one in a headband mount for walking footage and with a wrist mount for rides. They only cost about $40 but because of the gyrometer the smoothness of the footage gives a GoPro a run for its money- so long as you stick to 1080/60.
