SPOILERS: WandaVision Discussion / Reactions to Most Recent Episodes

I have to say I haven't laughed as hard in a long time as I laughed at Wanda driving around in Buick Verano.

    The DC Comics Film Thread

Don't forget Shazam. It and Wonder Woman are the only post-Nolan DC movies I would consider watchable.

SPOILERS: WandaVision Discussion / Reactions to Most Recent Episodes

Sure you do. His is the more interesting and memorable version of the character in most viewers' heads. Plus it's not like he commands a huge salary or anything. It's not like they're bringing in Ian Mckellen or Michael Fassbender or anyone that costs real money.

    POTC queue music

I don't remember hearing pirates whispering but I do remember hearing an audio clip of the soldiers of the Spanish garrison yelling about the impending attack, ("Invaders!") and blowing a bugle.

    Mine Train Queue Music?

Whoever did the music for the Fantasyland expansion did a bang-up job. I was always really impressed how the Beauty and the Beast area music incorporates a bunch of the songs from the Broadway musical in addition to the animated movie.

What about the original, original queue music for the Florida version of this attraction?

    Studio ghibli

Dean Deblois and Sanders' goal with Lilo and Stitch was partly to create an American interpretation of a typical Miyazaki movie, in terms of the setting, tone, and art style (particularly the backgrounds). They have said as much in interviews. There are even a number of overt homages to Studio...

    Studio ghibli

Lilo and Stitch is kind of a Miyazaki movie. Does that count?

Rumor Stitch's Great Escape Replacement— Don’t Hold Your Breath

Maybe, but the question is whether the cost of completing these projects and staffing them is worth what Disney might bring in if they keep sinking money into them. I could see the company reaching a point where the roofs are completed to preserve what's already been built, and then cutting...

Rumor Stitch's Great Escape Replacement— Don’t Hold Your Breath

Disney cancelled an entire resort after it was partially built. Why not a couple rides?

Any word on whether the Guardians of the Galaxy coaster has been cancelled yet?

What is this Tiki Room lyric?

Not really. Michael and the other host birds consider all the other birds in the show part of their "glee club," so those macaws are fellow performers. Besides that, Pierre, Michael, Fritz, and Jose are themselves macaws, though recolored in their respective "national" colors. Pierre probably...

What is this Tiki Room lyric?

This bears repeating. The predominate American pronunciation during the war and after it sounds nothing like what is sung during the song. Nah, the joke totally works that way. It's anti-humor. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Why_did_the_chicken_cross_the_road%3F

What is this Tiki Room lyric?

"Macaws" is the only way the joke makes sense. Jose asks whether the birds are called "macaws" for a reason that has to do with their name. Pierre replies that no, that's just what they're called and there's no particular explanation (not in English, anyway) for their name. The joke works...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

What's Universal's best play now? With the US economy so badly contacted I can't see the 3rd park plan being viable for at least a decade, but they wouldn't want to sell off that land after all the money and legal battles they went through to get it. Maybe they could throw up some inexpensive...

    Splash Mountain re-theme announced

The movie revels in the plantation aesthetic, the images of black "mammies" and "uncles" cooking and serving white people in their big house, and the black farmers dutifully gathering around the plantation to sing hymns and pray for the little white kid. The movie even begins with a musical...

    Splash Mountain re-theme announced

Are you honestly suggesting this, or are you making an intentionally ridiculous proposition because you don't understand why modern Americans are offended by a glorification of black American slavery?
