Two tracks make for a front and back guide. That way they can alter the direction the boat points by separating the 2 channels. Notice the right hand channel ends sooner in the shed than the left hand channel.

LOL. You're right I suppose. The Spring 2016 edition of the Disney Magazine may have bad info in it. There is a disclaimer inside the front cover (I kid you not):
"Information in this magazine is subject to change without notice. Discontinue reading if a rash occurs."
The latest Disney FILES magazine confirms that the outdoor terrace will be staying - "... taking on the look of a converted observatory while also adding live entertainment and an outdoor terrace bar called Stargazers. The new Planet Hollywood Observatory is scheduled to open this summer."
The track does look really short. We're presuming that the track goes down the center of the channel, though. Wouldn't the underwater rail system give them the flexibility to do something similar to this -
I'm curious what the outdoor "air compressor yard" is for too.
A laser tag arena and indoor adventure park (zip lines, ropes course etc.) would be cool. I could see a multi-floor rock climbing wall. Maybe even do one on the outside of the building...
I wonder if the old tower was structurally unable to handle to load of the observation deck. Seems like the deck, and the people load would be significantly higher load than what it currently carries.
Too bad about the dome. That really added to the planetarium feel for the new building.
The new green areas are just the base color. They haven't painted any texture into them yet. They should look similar to the top mountain when they are finished.
I was in town for an IBM convention and they had about 10,000 guests in the park. For the most part, they put out food carts and opened a few rides, most of Dinoland and EE were opened. They had character meet-n-greets and the such as well. I'm also a DVC member and look forward to what they...
Looks like all the balloons are all on the south side of the road, mainly over the tennis courts. There are 2 shorter ones (blue and red) that are only about 15-20 feet high, that go along the sidewalk at the entrance to the mini-golf.
I've highlighted the ONLY reason Maelstrom was popular... Trolls and Oil rigs... REALLY? Like TSMM, the lines are long here because guests pay so much to get into the park, they are going to do everything in the park once they get there. As many have already stated, the capacity issues that...
I'm with you on this one @djkidkaz . Disney would have come out on top by giving them a $50 gift certificate and keeping it a non-issue. After they got the luggage back, they could have made the rest of their stay as miserable as possible, just to ensure they never came back. Not to mention...
If you have an ESPN.com ID for Fantasy Football, or sports news, it is linked to the Disney sites as well. I keep having to re-login between the 2, and wish they were sync'd.
