The issue that promoted Disney to change the DAS system in the first place was its need to clear the LL ques so that guests that are paying an additional 25-30% of their admission to use the LL service, feel like there is value in their purchase. It has been said that the number of DAS ab/users...
Using the tap [points at the ride entrances, Disney could track who is joining multiple ques and if they wanted to, prevent that from happening to some extent. They can't prevent someone getting into an alternate que and then join a standby, but they could prevent guests joining two alternative...
What is legally required is already written and will only change with successful litigation. Disney believes they meet the requirements currently in place.
I think that is where we are with this. The plan is in place and this will be the program for the next 2-5 years, until such time as more revisions are necessary.
Disney believes that they have a program that will meet the requirements of the law and will improve operations and profit. People...
That's just hyperbole.
To anyone stating that this wont be upheld in courts, I challenge you to try the new system and see what works and doesn't work for you. If the new system doesn't work for you and you find it discriminatory, then make your case in the courts. Then take Disney to court...
Genie+ is an additional 25-35% of the basic ticket price per person per day. Yes, it costs less than a ticket but it a hefty addition. It is for that reason why Disney is working to clean up the Lightning Lane lines. The guests that are paying the premium are paying for a shorter que (once per...
That's a big problem on Southwest. I have to remind people on every flight, that there is no saving seats on Southwest. It is a situation where accommodations went too far and haven't (yet) changed to keep up with what people feel is acceptable public behavior.
For what it is worth, I agree with you; I think many in this thread do. If the new accommodations are not enough to make someone comfortable, then they will remove themselves from the scenario.
I doubt that this issue (changing the old DAS program) will cause the parks to lose enough money at scale to force anything. If Disney does manage to clean up the Genie+/ILL/RTQ situation then it will benefit the company.
The article speaks to a problem that Southwest has, similar to what is being discussed about Disney. A noticeable jump in the number of people using the pre boarding service airlines (the articles focuses on Southwest) offers. It touches on how the increasing number of pre boarders is starting...
If you need more beds, consider finding a room with the number of beds you need. I would think that if a family can't sleep together, being crammed into that same space would also be intolerable. Book the accommodation that matches your need.
This is normal hotel procedure now since the Las Vegas shooting in 2017. Typically hotels only knock and ask to come in IF room service hasn't been allowed to clean the room in 2-3 days. This is expected behavior at this point.
This is what has been on my mind this whole time. If the goal was to cut down on the actual number of people using the service, I am surprised that Disney didn't tighten up the party size more. If one DAS accommodation actually equates to four people being accommodated by service it is easy to...
Wow, 6 whole days across the next three weeks. Makes planning as an Out-of-State Incredipass holder so easy... /s
I think the bottom line, my thought is if you are staying on property, whether you are AP or not, you should not need a reservation. On-property APs should not have to make...
Hollywood Studios is a confusing mess. It would be better to scrap the 50's Hollywood theme at this point. The only parts of the parks that still fit this theme are the shops (of course), and a couple of restaurants (but not all) and I can see the argument that the Tower of Terror and Chinese...
