News Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

This kind of backs up what I've been saying. Only a portion of those villains make any real sense together (and there's no way you could design a single land that actually feels like it was inspired by all of them; they're too different). Gaston, the Queen of Hearts, Cruella, Lady Tremaine, and...

    D23 Brazil

I'd be surprised if they had any plans to use Shang-Chi. Feels like that movie came and went without making a major impact, and although there's been mention of a sequel in development, it keeps getting pushed back. Regardless, from a big picture perspective, I'm okay with them removing Muppets...

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

The only time I went to BoG was for breakfast, and yeah, it wasn't very good. You were essentially just paying for the setting, and I don't think the setting really works. I wasn't that impressed with it -- it probably would be better if it wasn't set up like a big loud cafeteria, though. The...

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I think Animal Kingdom is probably the worst fit for it. Well, other than EPCOT I guess.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

To be fair, Toy Story Land is kind of notoriously poorly designed. It's one of the worst uses of space anywhere at WDW in terms of what it offers vs. the footprint.

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

And not just the pathways, but the shops etc. too. A park with 20k guests and all rides standby would feel significantly less crowded than a park with an equal 20k guests, but 15k of them are just waiting on their next VQ spot.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

It's a capacity issue -- the park needs more capacity. Monsters Inc. replacing Muppets doesn't do much for that, and has a pretty good chance of making it worse because a new Monsters Inc. coaster will attract more people to the park. The park is likely to end up more crowded/less pleasant than...

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

This is the whole issue, like I posted above. Monsters Inc. replacing Muppets without anything going in AC very soon has a decent chance of making the park worse than it is right now from a guest perspective. And I think we all know that if it does replace Muppets, there's also decent chance...

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

That was my impression from the earlier photo -- that they were just covering them up.

Boarding groups/lightning lane is part of it. They've taken a significant number of people out of standby lines and put them elsewhere in the park, which increases crowding. Obviously there was already some of this with FastPass, but eliminating standby entirely on a few attractions (the ones...

Interesting new transportation Option: Whoosh - Autonomous Elevated Cable & Rail System

I think it's a much bigger problem in the spring/summer than the fall/winter, with the frequency of thunderstorms.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Right now, replacing Muppetvision is all bad news regardless of any future plans for the Muppets. It means that once again they aren't doing anything to actually improve DHS or add capacity (and will potentially make DHS even worse), and who knows if/when any future expansions that might use...

Interesting new transportation Option: Whoosh - Autonomous Elevated Cable & Rail System

The biggest drawback over buses (other than fear of heights) is that it has to stop in storms/strong wind, or if there's a single problem anywhere along the route the whole route has to stop. Then they have to make up for it with supplemental bus service to get people to/from those park/resort...

Interesting new transportation Option: Whoosh - Autonomous Elevated Cable & Rail System

I'm not even sure this would be possible with the system. They'd have to have some kind of station there that merged the cars coming from two separate lines, or just build two completely distinct lines that didn't connect. I assume it would not have been worth the additional expense.

Arabia and the Arab world aren't the same thing, though. Arabia is the Arabian peninsula.

Interesting new transportation Option: Whoosh - Autonomous Elevated Cable & Rail System

I may be misremembering, but I think Martin indicated they while they do have some plans, they decided it's not the best way to use funds due to the Skyliner's downsides, other than maybe a couple of short add-ons.

Gideon's Bakehouse vs. The Cake Bake Shop: Disney's Best Bakery for Cake and Cookies?

I'm not arguing in favor of the pricing -- nearly everything at Cake Bake is overpriced, and I don't have any plans to visit it or buy a $7 chocolate chip cookie -- but I don't see why looks should matter. It's pretty easy to find cookies that look fancy but are actually made pretty cheaply and...

Interesting new transportation Option: Whoosh - Autonomous Elevated Cable & Rail System

I think the Skyliner is too expensive and too inefficient (mainly due to speed) for what it offers, which is why they haven't expanded it. It's okay for shorter routes (I think a couple of short expansions are possible), but it would not be an effective way to get people around all of WDW.

Carousel of Progress vs. Hall of Presidents

Carousel of Progress is one of the best attractions at the Magic Kingdom (and all of WDW). Hall of Presidents is fine.
