It does explain why I haven't seen any trailers say who the actors are, like in a typical disney commercial. "Come see Moana! Featuring voice acting from the rock!" I'm not sure if I've seen a strange world commercial like that.

My mom always said "every Disneyland ride ends with us going to Hell". Which actually makes a lot of sense when you think about it. I think the only exception might be its a small world, unless you count the song as being "Hell".

My friends are very lgbtq... none of them are interested in this movie or Lightyear. Of course small group, doesn't speak for ALL LGBTQ people, but they were upset at Disney for a variety of reasons, from lack of creativity, the bad business practices with VFX workers, and more I can't think of...

One thing I found interesting during my searches is a lot of movies were streaming exclusive here in the states, but had a theatrical window in other countries. This is why movies like "Trolls world tour" have a box office listing on wikipedia. That probably helps....a lot.

I think making it more of a father son adventure would have been better too. Removing the bulk of the family and have it be a father and son who are polar opposites learning to know each other in a scary alien world would have been genius. The gay crush scene could have fit better here too, now...
