Except the CM I talked to not only told me incorrectly that they were sold out - people reported getting them HOURS after I asked - but there was ZERO indication I could "get a code" nor did the CM offer any alternative. He said they were out, end of story. I'm glad I didn't have to miss out...

Well I AM a Passholder and I WAS there but they told me they were sold out. So I'm glad I had another chance to get one. *shrugs*

Hrm, interesting! I inquired with the CM at Cosmic Rays on Saturday just in case they would honor the discount even though it wasn't on the list and she just kinda rolled her eyes at me and said they "don't do that here."

By the time I got through bag check (only one side open), metal detector AND the backup at the turnstiles, it was after 3pm and they had THREE cast members with messenger bags handing out pins. So we had no problem getting them mid-afternoon. Maps were in abundance to the left of the entry...

Me too. I wound up eating at Cosmic Ray's tonight and I even asked just in case but she said no. Boo. On the upside, 20% off worked all over today - including merchandise (in the form of 45th anniversary mugs) at the Starbucks bakery!
